Let's get some perspective.......it's clear that the rasmussen poll is the "outlier":
RealClearPolitics - RealClearPolitics Poll Averages

LOL

are you back to the "outlier" slogan again? funny... you called it the outlier when it was at 51% approval for Obama as well in the Rasmussen poll, on 7/16-7/18...now on the same RCP link you provided, Quinnipiac has him at 50% two weeks ago, and Zogby had him at 53% in the same time frame.

so i guess Rasmussen is merely the "leading indicator" and not the outlier.

and we shall see what the new numbers say this week, from the other non- "outliers", which should be along soon

1. Gasoline never topped FIVE dollars a gallon..

2. Exxon-Mobil never posted 300 billion dollars in profits per QUARTER

3. It is Exxon-Mobil, not Exxon and was created by the merger of Exxon and Mobil, 10 years ago.

Average Gasoline prices per gallon, as tracked by the department of energy topped out at $4.10 in July 2008

Exxon-Mobil's highest ever *ANNUAL* profit, was in 2008, when it was 45.22 billion.

in fact, Exxon-Mobil has not, in its 10 year operating history, amassed a profit anywhere near 300 billion, either per quarter, per annum and even when you add up the last 7 years worth of profits going back through 2002 FY, the total profit is 219.76 billion dollars.

i'll assume you were being overly dramatic and not simply incredibly ignorant.

Average gasoline. That does not mean gas ever topped 5$ somewhere. I know here is San Francisco it got to 4.75

yes, and California is behind only Hawaii and Alaska in terms of average price...and San Francisco is at nearly the highest in CA, along with Salinas, San Diego, San Luis Obsibo and LA among others

it never topped $5 per gallon in the United States except for at one absurd gas station, in Central California...
(The Americo gas station in the tiny coastal town of Gorda)

there was a Huffington Post about it and the reason for it.

Gorda: Land of $5 gas (California)

but the fact is, that gas costs much more per gallon in Europe.

Obama's ratings have been going down because of all the Americans who gladly suck the dick of the Health Insurance Industry after it is pulled out of their ass. Their blaséreaction to the royal screwing that the insurance industry has done to their families and countless other Americans has blossomed into a full blown attack against all things government.

It is a disgusting alliance of white supremacists/militants, ignorant rednecks, insurance executives, unabashed conservatives and libertarians.

That retarded lady who doesn't want the U.S. to turn into Russia and who said that this healthcare initiative has awakened a "sleeping giant" at an Arlen Spector rally, is nothing more than your simple run of the mill uninformed and uneducated WAL-MART shopper.

The protests are being funded by the health care industry and are making those politicians in favor of health care reform look like they have angry mobs following them around everywhere.

The "anger" has been televised non-stop with all of the networks trying to film the manufactured "anger' at the best angle.

The right wingers love it... this is music to their ears, they know what is going on and it is business as usual for them.

But, at the same time the average American sees the protesters and hears the newscasters echo all of the "anger" out there during their dinner hour.

The newscasters fail to mention that the "protests" are being directed and funded by the the insurance industry and the average working stiff in America can't see that because they are too apathetic and or aren't media savvy enough.

The problem is that there is no shortage of redneck Americans to trot out carrying signs and shouting bullshit (most of them are white supremacists)...

... but there
is a shortage of informed and bold Americans willing to stand up for what is right and counter the astro turf resistance set up by the insurance industry.

Hence, there is no counter resistance and the shouting and opposition have been taking their toll on Obama's numbers.

You wanna fucking gloat because white supremacists posing as "average" Americans have been trying their best to make sure that non-whites don't get affordable health care by shouting and carrying sings?

Bravo douchenozzle... BRAVO!

And as a side note, when Jason Els weighs in on healthcare reform, we should all shut the fuck up and listen for once. His words on this subject are pure GOLD!

When people hold up signs that say they want the Government out of their Medicare, that should be proof enough to any intellectual of the overall ignorance of the Anti-Health Care movement. And we should be just as vocal as they are to point out that kind of rabid stupidity.

Yeah, way to paint 170,000,000+ million americans as ignorant based upon a couple of rally signs. Wow. The irony, arrogance, and stupidity of your comment is exactly what i've come to expect from you.

Didn't President Obama make a deal with the drug companies to get their support? But it is only everyone else that is sucking dick?

Cheers

wake up bro... he's fucking up, ... you know it, I know it, the American ppl know it.

Actually, I agree that he is fucking up. But I don't believe that attempting to reform health care is "fucking up"

What the fuck is wrong with attempting to reform health care? I hardly see that as "fucking up".

But what I do see as Obama "fucking up" is as follows:

1). Bending to the insurance and health care lobby

2). Expanding the war in Afghanistan

3). His speeches on health care reform have been duds.

Number three is what REALLY pisses me off about Obama. He has been unable to coherently voice his health care reform strategy, much to the detriment of his initiative.

4). His useless attempts to achieve bi-partisan solutions. The Republicans want only to destroy him, he is fucking delusional as hell on that one.

5). He apparently is the "Banker's president" and I can't even fathom the money he gave to the cocksucking evil banking industry.

But, is he "fucking up" in the larger sense? Of course not... we just got over 8 years of a president that made the wrong decisions about 70% of the time and the right wingers fucking LOVED that guy.

Yet, Obama's train has come off course and his attempt to reform health care is clearly "fucking up".

You have a valid point Face, I am sure that we don't agree on the details, but I agree with you by and large. You are on the middle right of issues usually and have a pretty good perspective since you were never caught up in the Obama mania.

Shit, nobody's perfect.

Didn't President Obama make a deal with the drug companies to get their support? But it is only everyone else that is sucking dick?

Cheers

Actually I am referring to the people that are trying to block his reform efforts and don't want anything to change. By blocking reform, they are sucking the cock of the insurance companies after it was pulled out from their ass.

The insurance companies have spent MILLIONS trying to defeat this effort.

And yes, to answer your question... Obama has been giving the insurance industry a handjob and been fondling it's balls.

Well first off, I didn't say that 170 Million people said that. Here's my statement again: When people hold up signs that say they want the Government out of their Medicare, that should be proof enough to any intellectual of the overall ignorance of the Anti-Health Care movement.

Does "people" imply everyone, nevermind 170 Million people? You think I would of had a problem saying everyone or everybody if I meant that? Nice comprehension failure, jackass.

And yes... I will call these particular people ignorant. How can ANYONE be against Government run health care yet FOR Medicare and Medicaid? If that's the case, then they should practice what they preach and find Health Care in the private sector. They're either blatantly stupid, or complete hypocrites. Take your pick... however in your case I'm feeling a bit generous today... you can wear both titles.

The irony, arrogance, and stupidity of your comment is exactly what i've come to expect from you.

And your desperate, ill-attempt at making a point at the expense of someone you didn't agree with was equally as expected, shit for brains. Stop being so fuckin' desperate to find an excuse to hate the current administration. Be like Tripod and have valid issues to bring to the table. None of this corny nonsense.

I think #4 is the main issue. All roads lead back to this 'consensus' he apparently loves to have. And there is no consensus or common ground with people who want to dismantle government. How can you ever get a consensus with people who want to see every federal employee unemployed? He needs to move on without them. His message would be so much stronger without them. That is one thing Rove figured out. You need to draw the line sharp and consistently otherwise voters get wishy washy and don't know where their ass is.

As for #5 I don't think he has much choice here. The banking industry is at the very core of the capitalist system. Without it everything else falls apart. The bad thing is giving them money helps restore confidence but it in no way as made them alter their way of doing business. Confidence is everything in this economy. All hell will and did break lose once the rich figured out government would start letting banks fail (Lehmann Brothers). You will note the government after learning all the dominoes that fell after letting Lehmann go, never let anything that big fail again.

And finally where would be be right now if we had McCain and Palin? Truly a thought to scary to even comprehend. We would be hearing daily re-worked versions of 'Let them eat cake' to the masses.

Lol, here you go. The Overall ignorance of the anti-heathcare movement. Ok, 65% of the american public (170,000,000 or so) are against Obamacare, not healthcare reform, but obamacare. You were intentionally implying that the stupidity of those who are opposed Obamacare is revealed in a couple of goofy signs. Do i even have to state how stupid of an assessment that is? Thats not any different than saying all muslims are terrorists, or all blacks are lazy, or all straight people are homophobes. Jeeze... You just perpetrated the exact kind of stereotyping and generalization that you and other liberals so often stand against. And as for Tripod having valid issues....LOL OMG> He basically argued that those opposed to Obamacare are white supremacists. your guys are hopeless.

You want to back up the assertation that 65% of Americans are against "Obamacare"? It ain't true...

More comprehension failure, jackass?
Overall means "taking everything into account". My argument focused on one aspect of the entire movement. People posting those signs saying "Government out of my Medicare" is one part of the overall movement. If you don't understand what is being said, ASK you dumbshit.

But let's not make this a discussion on High School comprehension. You already failed that before and I would much rather focus on your particular bigotry and ignorance. That's SO much more fun.

Ok, 65% of the american public (170,000,000 or so) are against Obamacare, not healthcare reform, but obamacare. You were intentionally implying that the stupidity of those who are opposed Obamacare is revealed in a couple of goofy signs.

No, shit for brains... YOU ASSUMED THAT.
I'm not like you. My brain doesn't operate in the same mind-numbing, bigoted fashion.

Do i even have to state how stupid of an assessment that is?

No, because you don't know how.

Thats not any different than saying all muslims are terrorists, or all blacks are lazy, or all straight people are homophobes. Jeeze... You just perpetrated the exact kind of stereotyping and generalization that you and other liberals so often stand against.

No... you're assuming that so that you, one of the most discriminatory and bigoted people on this board, can try to take the high road and find excuses for your own hatred. Don't think people haven't noticed your past rantings on threads. And if you've forgotten any, here's a doozy: http://www.lpsg.org/102795-why-are-gays-primarily-liberal-2.html#post1707855

And as for Tripod having valid issues....LOL OMG> He basically argued that those opposed to Obamacare are white supremacists. your guys are hopeless.

Instead of generalizing the entire post like the bigot that you are, why don't you take it point for point? Like for instance, I agree with Tripod's assessment on #4 completely. This push for bipartisanship is ridiculous. He opened the door for open debate and got nothing but opposition. His political adversaries do not want to "work together". The majority of them are just voting against him because they want to make him appear weak at the expense of the American People. Where does THAT suggest "white supremacy", idiot?

And here's another observation... For once, people who actually like Obama are openly criticizing him and people like you, who claim that we're just a bunch of mindless Obama Junkies, still bitch. Why? Because we're not agreeing with what YOU think is the problem? Get the fuck out of my face with your bullshit.

Think about who you're trying to combat here.. I'm more than prepared to derail any of your pathetic rhetoric.
