I don't think the answer is yes, but this is good to read

That may be too abstract to be comprehended and appreciated by the subjects. But if you can work a Dick Cheney/Hooded Claw reference in somewhere, you get 500 bonus points and a spot in the Showcase Showdown.

HAH!!!!
Good one, ST. Now let me work on that analogy.

maxcok: You turn on Boomerang, and I'll bring the Belvedere!

absolutely nothing in Christian doctrine (New Testament) allows for what people have done in the name of Christianity. Matter of fact most of what has been done has decidedly been anti-Christian.

On the other hand what muslims have done most decidedly conspires with what Islam is supposed to be. And that is not to say that Islam does not have its peaceful currents.

There is no "on the other hand" difference, as the theology of the two testament bible, compiled by Christian editors, is the source of Christian doctrine and the Muslim faith.

This is extremely odd thread to resurrect for what seems an entirely pointless reason: what's the deal, Dreamer?

To the best of my knowledge (and I don't claim any expertise in comparative religious studies), Islam recognizes Jesus as a prophet and acknowledges the sanctity of Mary (which I guess involves a recognition of the Immaculate Conception), but its actual texts are the Old Testament and the Koran (that's the way I've always spelled it, and it passed spell-check so it stays). I was not aware of any reverence of the New Testament amongst Muslims.

But this has nothing to do with the boondoggle in Iraq.
