At its heart, this site is a support group, you dont often see that on some of these threads filled with exaggerated size claims, etc. but hey, I met my man here and so many, many good and loyal friends; and tonight I feel there's still hope for this forum.

I too am thrilled for you. When I had children I always told myself I'd raise them to realize I'd love them no matter what so they wouldn't have to live a minute of their lives not being who they were meant to be. My parents have been gone for quite a long time now, and my older brother for a year. I'm glad I came out to them in the mid 70s. Those times were not as open as these. There was some awkwardness at first (particularly with my father), but we worked through it. With regard to my sexuality, our final years together were real; no more wondering for them, no more worrying for me. It worked for us. I know we can only speak for ourselves.... Glad it's working for DC9.

Good for you. I consider myself st8 (and curious) but I see nothing wrong with people whose sexual preferences are different. No parent should hesitate to support their child's choice in matters of sexual orientation. You seem very happy and I think so is your mom.

I really feel sorry for people that have lost their families because their parents couldn't accept it. Someday, maybe, the all loving religious people will come to love us equally.

Yes my dad is in his 80's and mom in her 70's I am glad I finally told them.
