In no way am I ignoring the problem of circumcision being done to people who didn't consent to it. I think it shouldn't be done unless the individual chooses it (barring severe health issues, which this isn't a subject I'm well versed on, but I don't want to make a blanket statement that it should never EVER be done until adulthood just in case).
Having said that, I spent the first.. oh, 4-5 years of having sex keeping my true desires and libido restrained or completely hidden. The social norm, expectation, and everything else made me think it was bad for me to have a high libido. To want sex more than anyone I had been with. After all, women don't want sex as much as men do, right? There's no way a woman could want sex more than a man. Women aren't supposed to have casual sex, but it's okay if men do. If a woman does, she's a slut, if a man does he's an epitome of manliness. The Madonna/whore thing is very real. The sexism is very real. The shaming of women enjoying and wanting sex is so very prevalent that even on here, you see it fairly frequently spouted that women aren't as sexual, women don't want sex, women can't possibly be visual, women can't on and on and on. It's so prevalent that many expectations are the norm, at least within all of my personal experiences. People believe the bullshit and then call women who don't fit the bullshit Kool-aid liars.
Edited because bad English and it bugged me
