Cain, Perry, Bachmann, Paul, etc. . . . The Not Ready for Primetime Players. Still just a bunch of comedians.

Actually, since that gaffe, Cain's numbers are falling. The next Golden Boy is, believe it or not, Newt Gingrich.

I couldn't make shit like this up.

I know... and he's the smart one of the bunch.

I want Newt to take the oath wearing one of his wife's tiaras.

The GOP base is so put off by the potential of nominating a Mormon from Massachusetts (two things that puts off the majority of them), that they're grasping for anything. This is such an amazing and entertaining display of comedy. Dubya really doesn't so bad now, and I thought I'd never say that in my life.

See I actually think the fix is in for Romney. The only way the Grand Old Party could get him the nomination is to run him against the dumbest, most incompetent, inept candidates they could put forward. Little did they know that the GOP voters were too stupid to realize what was happening and large swaths of the faithful are throwing their support behind one pinhead or another giving Mitt a run for his money anyway.

I'm starting to think that Palin and Perry are long lost conjoined twins, separated at birth and adopted out to different households.

Actually, right about now I'm beginning to feel sorry for the Saturday Night Live crew. Imagine how hard pressed their writers are to write shit even more bizarre than the GOP reality.
