Couldn't agree more, though I don't think you see the hard irony in your post.I certainly am glad that I live in the Land of the Free and The Home of the Brave.
Choice is what freedom is all about.
My roomate in college got cut over Christmas break one year. He said that after it healed he was so glad he had it done and that it felt better having sex with a cut dick than when he was uncut. He had lots of problems with notbeing able to retract, which would cause infections and it was ultimately his decision to do it because he was tired of pain and irritation.
Did I mention that I had my final check up with the doctor who circumcised me? It was supposed to be at 4 weeks but got delayed. He admired his work for a second, told me I should be feeling my balls for testicular cancer and then we talked for a minute, just about literally. He asked if I had "used it" yet. And I said "Yes.". He asked if everything was working and I said "Great". He told me he's got a bunch of young guys circs booked for the summer.
This is the bottom line. I don't know of one credible guy who chose it for himself who doesn't think it's a big improvement.
Did your roomate confide in you or did you just notice a difference? LOL.
I haven't told my housemates, but we're not close.
does anybody know accurately the rates of the circumcision procedure nowadays (for adult males)?
how exactly does insurance play into the costs as well?
if you're tempted to post a reply saying "STOP, DONT GET CUT"
then save yourself the trouble
just answer the question if you know the answer

The implication being that if he didn't like it, he's not credible.I don't know of one credible guy who chose it for himself who doesn't think it's a big improvement.

The 2 biggest stupidities that have been posted on this thread:
Call it what you want but scarring at the preputial sphincter is a top reason for adult circumcision. Doctors - including Daniel Sidler whose lecture I attended in September - feel it rules out stretching the preputial sphincter to relieve phimosis.1. Foreskin retraction causes later phimosis.
2. You lose sensitivity the longer you are circumcised. Several others have pointed how dumb that is.
I got circumcised this morning. I had to be there at 8 and I was out by noon after the anesthetic wore off. I was out for the surgery and so that was easy. Before that, I got prepped by a male nurse and had to sign a consent form. Only really saw the doc for a second before.
He gave me a shot that kept it numb most of the way back home. I started feeling some pain and took a vicodin and have been taking that evey 4 hours. So far, no real pain. Just feels like something's sort of moving around under the bandage. Only the tip of my penis is exposed so I can piss. I'm supposed to keep this on til Sunday at least, then I'll finally see.
In case you're wondering why I'm doing this, there are a bunch of reasons. I have phimosis is the main one. It only caused problems when I didn't retract before getting hard but it was a pain in the ass and it caused the insurance to kick in and pay for it.
