No, really.

The last few months right before my period I've been getting a day or two where my vulva and vaginal opening feel itchy and irritated. It's usually not that bad, and it stops when I start bleeding. This has happened before, and it's not something I pay too much attention to.

Last week the itchiness and irritation started, and aside from keeping the area clean, I didn't do anything out of the ordinary to it. I'm not expecting my period for another week or so. Sometime around 3-4 days ago it got to be somewhat unbearable at times. I went out and bought all sorts of over-the-counter feminine hygeine products, and nothing really helped. Some of them made it worse. As it is now, the only thing that helps even a little is my son's A&D diaper rash lotion.

It's not yeast because it doesn't have that bready-yeasty smell or the white cheesy discharge, nor is it BV. I've had both before, and there's a lot of discharge associated with both. BV usually has that awful fishy odor too. If anything, I'm drier down there than usual-- though the scant discharge is a yellowish color.

My husband and I tried having sex a couple days ago and I was just too sore and irritated to do it. He didn't notice any sort of different or foul odor down there when I asked.

I'm running out of home remedies and since it's been the holidays and I don't have any time to take care of myself lately, I've let this go and not called my doctor. I'm planning on calling tomorrow, but getting in to see my gynecologist is going to be difficult because they are always busy. I know this is stupid, but I don't feel comfortable seeing my GP for this, and I don't know that she'd feel comfortable treating it.

Does anyone have any ideas about what this may be or some nifty home remedies? It makes it hard to sleep and I really try not to scratch it since that makes the irritation even worse.

Help!

Have you tried a spoonful of cool regular (non fruit variety) yogurt "in there"? (I meant inside your pussy.) I hear that it is good for vaginal health. Drink some cranberry juice on occasion. Don't hate your vagina.

oh stop being jealous and catty. I'll check out your snatch, too.

If I didn't have you on ignore, I'd be able to read whatever text I quoted above. But I can't. So I'm going to assume it was really shitty and I'm going to get huffy and offended by it even though I can't read it.

Anyway--
Thank you everyone for helping me with my va-jay-jay cunt. I haven't made an appointment with the doc, but I definitely have to do it. I'm going to call tomorrow, though I think I have a suspicion of what's causing the problem.

I've been wearing tights and pantyhose and other really tight undergarments that don't really air out very well. I also have a tendency to go commando if I'm not wearing tights, pantyhose, spanx, etc. I'm thinking that it's probably time for me to get some white cotton granny panties and wear those. I spent a couple days wearing my husband's tighty whities and I feel a lot better.

The thing that really gets me is that it's been recurrent right around my period and that it's not smelly and there's no discharge-- it's just dry.

I'm going to try the yogurt thing-- I'm going to get some to eat as well as some to stuff in my tweeter. I will not get the strawberry to stuff in my twat. I'll eat that kind.

And cranberry juice. I just bought some of that.

The good thing is, I'm not in such dire straits as I was the other day, but I've got to see a doctor anyway because I know it's just going to come back next month.

Maybe we could start a betting pool on what the final diagnosis is.

My guess is that your using a new detergent or some product that has switched it's ingredients, OR maybe some new panties that come from China. Seriously.

 Oooooooh Snoozanuperwoman, it's those lead-lined panties from China. Avoiding the x-ray vision (or kryptonite or whatever it was) can't be worth all this discomfort, girl.

No, really. ...

FWIW--I hate your vagina, too!

Seriously, the female body constantly amazes me. I have a bud whose wife's monthly symptoms are like clockwork.

Everything that happens (I am sparing the details here) starts the Saturday before the Saturday before the Tuesday.

He's even in the habit of asking her, "is it the Saturday before the Saturday before the Tuesday?"

I hope you and your vagina feel better soon Snoozan!

Snoozan,

I am so glad you started this thread. So many women go through these types of issues. I hope you were able to get to the bottom of things. (No pun intended) So many of the things that happen down there are hormonally driven. Perhaps you may want to start taking natural soy estrogen. It helps regulate things and dryness is one of them.

Why in the hell would you use this site to discuss health problems with your vagina? This is not the VSP. Surely there are some other sites out there where this discussion is more appropriate. Perhaps on medical sites.

Why do the moderators allow it? They should finally say "enough is enough ladies. If your posts don't relate to large penises then they don't belong here!"

Does that mean you never actually went to the doctor? :12:

I bring my dildo to work so I can satisfy my vagina if there is need. It is a big vagina mind you!

As a moderator, I'd like to ask what better place to discuss it than in the WOMAN'S ISSUES section? This is a support group. We have men and women gay straight and transgender here. All need to be nurtured and treated with the dignity that they deserve. Please refrain from the negativity.

Hey buster! Leave our wimmin folk alone. This is the Women's Issues forum. Hoo-hoo related conversation is perfectly legal here according to regulation VJJ-314.

Gee, I guess I got confused when I originally found the site. When it said Large Penis Support Group I didn't expect it to be the pussy site, too, unless the pussy problem was somehow connected to how it behaved in the presence of a Large Penis! Excuse me, moderator!
On second thought, I was mistaken because about 75% of the posts have absolutely nothing to do with a penis, large or small!
