Is that average? Big? Huge? Too big?

I used to only have a pitiful 17 incher. It was all small and pathetic looking. Then today after playing with it for a bit I made it into a 32 incher.

This is my PC monitor of course. I hooked it up to my HDTV. Looks gd mf'in amazing.

But its too big for my desk...picture quality is amazing though. I've gone DVI. Well...VGA to DVI.

What do you think a good size of monitor is? And how big is yours?
Did you ever wish you had a bigger monitor?

PS my pics look ridiculous on this screen. All stretched and stuff :biggrin1:

Well now I feel all inferior  lol.

It is good though having this setup...this screen is near enough twice the size of the last monitor. And the picture is so clear!

I can watch videos on here now in HD quality...they were patchy watching DVD's for some reason...I think cos of the cheap DVD player.

Well at least I'm second biggest so far

Are all HDTV's made with VGA? I thought I was the only one...

PS I'm falling in love with porn all over again

I often hook up my laptop to my 32" tv. It does look impressive. I have screen in screen too so I can use the laptop & watch normal tv at the same time.

More importantly; why the hell did you choose that colour carpet?

My room is very dark with poor lighting and only one window...good enough? lol.

There is actually a huge stain near the door where I spilled some bbq sauce. Go on, say it...I'm a pig lol.

It just needs a good hoover

    OMG Jenn, that is pricelessssss!

btw, I only have a 22" monitor, which is a total pain because it won't let me change the settings and make the print larger. Glad my new bifocals do a better job than the old ones.

I have a 46" HDTV. How would I use it for a monitor? USB?

Pecker you would probably have to put a different video card in your computer. Many new video cards have DVI output(s). Some of the even newer ones have HDMI outputs. See what kind your TV has and proceed from there.

Go to help & support on your computer. In the search box type "connect computer to tv".

This will give you good info & diagrams on what to do.

The only way I know is if it has a VGA input. That way you can connect the monitor cable directly to it.

Pecker, if your TV has the same connection as a PC monitor (VGA) then you just connect it from TV to PC.

Once its connected turn the PC on and change the video source on your TV to PC/VGA or whatever its called.

I think most HDTV's come with VGA inputs along with the usual HDMI etc.

My lap top monitor is only 17 inches flaccid but I am still able to conceive.
