While this is true, this is an anonymous unit conversion; the only person they think can see it is themselves. I'd say it's likely more accurate than any self-reported survey

It's been pretty well-established that people will lie even in anonymous surveys. I don't think that's a reason to think it's accurate. It is a novel way to try to consider the question though.
