Somebody told me they were disappointed by the Grammy performance. Needless to say I quickly flipped out on them. For her first performance after her surgery, it was absolutely AMAZING

I've only recently really started to 'get' her.
Wonderful voice.
And her anti-glitz style is something I like a lot.

I first encountered her several yearsa ago and sent my mother a video email about her. Mother's response? "Sounds like a Amy Winehouse rip off". Now, my mother has all her albums and acts like she just discovered her music, all on her own.

I do have to add, though, that I'm am sick and tired of hearing her singles. I applaud her talent, think she deserved to have a good night at the grammys, but play something else by her on the radio.

In contrast, I'll take any one of her singles over the absolute dreck of that nauseating Madonna single. That song just makes me want to buy a slap bracelette and wear jellies with a Fantastic Sam's haircut.
