I make cakes (pics in profile), cook and dabble in painting and photography. I also make people smile and make love. :) OH, and I can also make people do my will with my power of persuasion. lol

I'm a designer, an interiordesigner.
I design stuff for all kind of spaces.

But only build one thing myself, or better rebuild as a task for college.
But I want to design my own house when I'm on my home and build most by myself.

I draw, I paint in oil, watercolours and ink, I can virtually create any image in my mind in stone or clay, I make professional Tattoo Flash artwork, I have even tattooed at one point. I do however pierce people every day, cut modern scarifications, place subdermal implants, reconstruct earlobes and split tongues. I'm especially skilled with sutures (med school drop-out). And I cook amazing dinners, as my father's a chef. I play some guitar, nothing impressive. I have made furniture, clothing.. smaller work around the house, reptile habitat's. Just about anything.

Though those mics look amazing! I don't think I ever could do something like that!

The only thing I make, as in a craft, well is guitar music so I am particularly interested in hearing a little more detail about the tube guitar amps you made and plan to make.

I make fantastic omelets with salsa, cheese and roast potatoes. I grow my own veggies.

I restored this old Norton a couple years ago (pic) and have also done a 1971 Yamaha RC 350 which was a sweet machine.

Houses, boats, furniture, using all kinds of materials is what I really make. Mostly boats though. Little ones, big ones, row boats and fucking huge monsters.

The pics are from three years ago. Had a little help with it. :) But I made it happen.

I grew a person! In my belly! It blows my mind!

You have no idea how many times I've looked at him and thought that.

I'm going to be serious now.....

I am a good cook, but I don't enjoy it so I only do it when I absolutely HAVE to. It takes a lot of time because I'm the kind of person who will do something slow and steady plus I ALWAYS follow a recipe to the letter. I suppose if I did it more often, I'd get quicker and less messy but I just HATE the washing up afterward. I cooked a couple of nights ago and my fingers STILL smell like onions and pasta sauce!

I make shelves, racks, storage cabinets etc. but only from those flat-pack thingys where the pieces are already there, you just have to put it all together. And, like the cooking, I am anal about following the instructions.

I like to make music. I got an electric piano/keyboard when I was a kid (still have it) but I didn't have the patience to keep practicing. I really regret not keeping up with my lessons. I kept it because I keep telling myself I'll take it up again but life always gets in the way.....

I make birthday/Christmas cards. Some people will see that as being cheap but I like being creative and artistic. But I don't really have the talent to draw or design anything myself, I just use one of those computer software programs (Printmaster, etc.) and picture editing software. The only element that is 100% me is the message written inside.

I dabble in amateur photography - with the emphasis on 'amateur'. I don't have the super fancy equipment, just a basic digital camera and a mobile phone. I recently posted an album of some pics I took from a local lookout. I don't want to sound arrogant but I think they turned out quite good, although the pic I took with my mobile was a let-down.

I make compost, and art. The compost keeps me from getting too hung up about what good the art is.

I cook quite a bit,for love of it, though the results vary with my abilities of the moment.

I make other peoples' books the best they can be, and I have a few stories of my own. First novel coming out at last sometime this spring.

For a hobby I can build just about anything out of metal or wood (prefer metal more). For a living I make sure that other folks design and build it right!

This describes my attitude towards cooking perfectly (including the slow and steady part and the recipe following). I do like the results, which is why I do it at all, and there's something satisfying about measuring things out neatly, but as an overall thing . . . hate cooking.

I do most of the cooking in our household, never use a cook book. My mother was a great cook and I learnt from her. Some times I cook by some how combining the correct ingredients even if I never made the dish b4 and most times it works.
As to what I do I manage an automotive workshop then tinker/modify my car out of work due to my mechanical background. Keeps me in touch with the whole business.

Maybe you should have been a chef! That instinctive understanding of ingredients is important in the industry (so I've heard).

I am more of a hand on mechanical nuts and bolts kind of guy, I like getting my hands dirty in all sorts of ways.:biggrin1:
I get more of a feeling of achievement with being good with cars and the working hours being a chef are terrible.
