Is there anyone out there that is, or has any contact, or can even recommend a Patent Lawyer? I am currently in Central America (but re-locating) and I need a good one.

Please PM me if you can help.

(No large penis involved in the patent)
    :)

Well, how good? Are you just interested in filing a patent (and what kind- utility? design?), or are you getting in a fight over an existing patent?

    Both involve dollar$, of cour$e.

I'm about to submit a provisional patent, which will give me one year to work on things, but I will need someone to help me with the final submission.

I realise it's expensive, that's why I was hoping someone here might be able to give me a little advice ;).

There are big fish swimming in this 'sea' and I want to make sure I don't get eaten.

I've used a pretty major firm in Boston. They seemed to know what they were doing.

    Opinions based on experience:
    1. A provisional patent while granting status for a nominal sum, I believe it is $85.00 now, still needs to be written in the arcane language of the patent lawyer and follow the same archaic formulae involved in the patent process. It is very hard for the layperson to write a provisional patent application that will accurately portray the invention in such a way that it can be actually be used to establish priority.
    2. Provisional patent applications are now published and searchable, by your competitors, within a relatively short time period after submission.

    Tread carefully.

Could you please name them? Here, or in private- your choice.
