rousseau: Hey, everybody, I just found this board and I'm positive that I shouldn't be here, but I thought I would ask a quick question since you guys seem to be the experts on it.

I'm only 5.75-6 x 6-6.5 (depending on excitment level). I know the length isn't much, but I think my girth might be enough to move up to a large size condom. When I've used regular condoms in the past, they've been really hard to get on and pretty uncomfortable. I use the Trojan Ultra-Thins now, and they're all right because they seem to stretch so much, but I'm worried about splitting and things like that. Do you think it would be worth it to use a large condom or am I just trying to convince myself?

You probably could use a wider condom. However, most of the wide condoms on the market, such as the Magnum or Magnum XL, may be a tad long for you. This may leave some of the condom rolled up at the base, which you might not like.

However, the They Fit condoms from condomania.com come in a variety of length and girth combinations, and they have ones that should fit you like a glove, both length and width.

First of all, I’m in a somewhat similar situation with 5.25” X 6.75”. The normal condom just about chokes me to death and as a result I lose my erection pretty quick. The larger condoms are better about the choking, though still a tad uncomfortable. Overall, I find them to be a better alternative then the “normal” size. At first, I was quite self conscious about it since I have a shorter dick and I found the bunching up thing somewhat annoying. One day one of my friends found my condoms while perusing my porn stash and I asked him about my dilemma and he curtly replied, “If they fit you better, then use them for God’s sake! Stop being such a fucking wuss!” My suggestion is that you try them out and see how they fit you. Also, I agree with Ericbear’s suggestion about the They Fit condoms from condomania.com. I have ordered some but they haven’t arrived yet so I can’t tell you about my experiences with them. Frankly, the fact that they have thought about the fact that not every guy is either short, “normal”, or large, in equal proportions length and width, impresses me. If their condoms are at least as good as the ones I have been using, I will definitely use theirs, if only to reward them for trying to accommodate me.

As for you being positive that you don’t belong here, well, you are having a problem concerning the unusually large girth of your dick. That is what these forums are here for. Frankly, I’d much rather read these type of posts then a thread concerning bragging rights. Secondly, its nice to see someone else out there with similar problems.

Everyone is welcome here, at 6.5" circumference, you definitely qualify for membership here. That kind of girth presents problems, so don't put yourself down. You might run into the same kind of problems some of us do with the length, but obviously condoms don't fit you properly, so feel free to ask questions, that's what we're all here for, Rousseau.

I have found that I can use just about any condom, as long as it doesn't say 'sleeker' or 'form fitting' or whatever terms they use for smaller sizes At 6" girth, the 'normal' condoms fit me, but the wider ones are definitely easier to put on. The only one that may have felt too loose was the Magnum XL, the regular Magnums are a good fit for me.
The only time I seem to have a problem with condoms is if I try to use them when I am still flacid or semi-erect. The tightness does seem to interfere with getting a full erection. I much prefer to put the condom on after I am erect, as my own hardness negates any feeling of contriction the condom may cause.

I've mentioned in a past thread that well over 99% of the sexual intecourse that I have had, has been with a condom, so I am used to them and have no problem whatsoever in continuing to use them. My longest term relationship was with a woman who wasn't on birth control, so condom use was a necessity! Did it feel better when she tried a diaphram for a few months? Oh Yeah! I was so used to the condoms that I had to re-learn control, so I would last longer! Is sex with a condom still great? Yes! Nothing beats the skin to skin contact, but you can use all the rest of your bodies for that!

I am a firm believer (very firm according to the women ) in safer sex. Use those condoms!

I would think it to be the other way around. Condoms would appear to be better suited to cut guys. A condom kind of interferes with the normal operation of an uncut penis, negating the advantages of our sleeve of mobile skin.

While a Magnum XL is normally a good fit for me, I've found that some of the Lifestyles condoms, which are actually quite small, will accomodate a very large penis, because the latex is so thin that it easily stretches to accomodate me without discomfort. They're only 7" long, though, leaving me with quite a bit of exposed skin at the base. A Magnum XL is only 1-1.5" longer than that, but I've never been able to get more than that into a vagina anyway; the shorter Lifestyles might be marginal in that regard.
