The Icelanders I know have an accent similar to the Danish accent, but lighter. One difference is that since Icelandic has the letters ð and þ, unlike Danish, Icelanders can pronounce the two English th sounds properly.

I understand you trying to lose the accent, because I&#39;ve done the same. But believe me, a lot of people find accented English to be sexy as hell&#33;

actually I just discovered the other day, this american guy who&#39;s on the military base here told me that it was sexy as hell :evilgrin: soooo... I might keep it

Thanks for the explanation. I&#39;ve always been a sucker for accents. A test for you Jacinto, say February out loud and report back to me...and please don&#39;t lose ALL of the Cuban accent, it seems to fit you.

Icelandic is not Slavic; it&#39;s Northern Germanic. It&#39;s very nearly the same as Old Norse. (Think: &#39;Viking&#39;&#33
