I stopped using saunas and steam rooms about six years ago. That's when some dude I didn't really know -- but made the mistake of chatting with in a steam room, after he initiated -- decided my friendliness was a sign that it'd be all right to pat my bare ass.

This happened at an Ivy League university. Yes, I agree. I have said this before in many threads that open showers prevent this kind of behaviour. I too have used open showers for over 20 years and I have NEVER seen anything sexual take place. Only once I saw a guy with a boner, but I think it was more nervous energy than anything sexual (the poor guy looked scared half to death). I find it interesting that stalls have become the norm because of homophobia and extreme modesty, yet they have only encouraged sexual activity in the locker room. I'm always amazed that the homophobes are the biggest supporters of stalls because they are worried that something "gay" might happen in an open shower, but the reality is that more of that behaviour goes on because of the stalls than prevents it.
