Fraid not. But I will say in no election I ever voted in did my vote change the result. which is some comfort. Isnt the same supposed to be true of the Us, with only votes in a few states likely to matter?

I voted for President Snow.

Apparently - MSN did a poll in various countries and the UK feeling was 85%/15% in favour of Obama. :)

The electoral college means that some votes are "weighted" more than others, here in the US. That, however, does not mean my vote didn't matter. It did. Every vote matters.

Besides that, most jurisdictions also have ballot measures up this year.

And of course, I won't hold it against the the non-USers out there that you didn't vote. I'm crazy, but not insane

Makes me wish the whole world could vote in the U.S. presidential election.

Instead, you all just have to wait and see if we get it right. :frown1:

I dunno. The international community seemed pretty happy when Bush left and Obama came in. Obama even won a Nobel Peace Prize simply for *not* being George W. Bush.

You don't think many around the world would be troubled by Romney picking up where Bush left off?

the nobel prize for obama, was soooo wrong for him self. it was to mutch, to early and just represented all the expectations that the USA and the rest of the world had. - he could only lose
but some how it was a self made problem... think about his speech: people will remember this moment, as the oceans stop rising, the polution stoped, people stoped hating, america started growing... he created this expectations

dont think Romney would pick up, where bush left. - i think he can act as stupid as bush proofed more then once he can. but this isnt enough to make him as hated as bush.
for this, he would have to start a new war (maybe with iran) and extend guantanamo.
but even this would make him and the usa more unpopular in the world, but wouldnt change the relation between europe and the usa mutch.

germany 90% to 7% for Obama, 3% dont know :biggrin1:

World confirmation of Obama's diplomacy and of the international respect he has garnered for America.

Romney/Ryan will have us in another shooting war in less than a year. Count on it.

For the 1st time in 3 Presidential elections in my district I actually had to wait in line!! Not long -- about 25 minutes (8 machines) at around 10:50 am.

Here in Kansas we have very important legislative elections since our Republican Governor (Brownback) "bolted" against his own party and hand pick his legislators which won in their primaries. I think the long lines are because people are furious at him for jamming his ideologies down the electorate's throats! Kansas will go for Mitt, but there's BIG stirrings among the Republicans in our State!

Happily even Bush might think twice about the cost of a new war piled on top of the old ones.

Now thats an interesting thought, would Bush do it differently if he was relected now? Would he have learnt from experience?

Stopped on the way home and voted myself. Looks like I sided with the states I was born in, raised in, as well as the two states that have built every single vehicle I've owned since I bought my first one 17 years ago!
