I sleep in 1.5 hour cycles

I normally sleep 4 1/2 hours, and feel pretty good about it, but my body's okay with anything as long as it's a multiple of 1.5 hours.

I've never gotten more than 5 hours a night regularly, not even as a child.

yesturday i naturaly awoke after 12 hours. I feel and look rank if not had 10, perhaps i need to train myself to sleep less. Call it lazyness, but I could happily sleep all day and night, emerging for poo and tea

I'm a lifelong computer and network techie...always have chosen to work the graveyard shift...more technology to deal with, less HUMAN contact, lol. On that shift, you are grateful for even 5 hrs of uninterrupted sleep.Anything more has always been manna from heaven. I've read we can get by with the minimum of 5 hrs, but it's the bare minimum. If I ever get 8 hrs, I'm astonished by how much better I feel in every way. I love my sleep.

I usually go to bed around midnight, fall asleep sometime after
1:00 am, and am woken up around 6- 6:30 by one of my kids.
Is 5 hours a night enough? Well if not, that's what coffee is for!!!!

Well some say sleep is an indulgence, but if thats true I certainly dont indulge.

Most say 8 hours is the best amount of sleep to get, but if i get anymore than 6 hours of sleep i am drained for the entire day, any more or any less than 6 hours is physically draining.

8+ hours for me please. If you think about it a day is separated into 3 parts: 8hrs. for sleep; 8hrs. for work; and 8hrs. for play that equals 24hrs (duh).. Now, I'm not saying I follow this to a "t", but I find it might be a good, and healthy way to live.

I get about 6-7 hours of sleep most nights. You can bank your sleep on the weekends if you've had a particularly sleepless week. I've done that before.
Anything over 9 and I'm groggy - especially after those marathon sex sessions.

I read once that a REM sleep cycle is about 90 minutes or about 1.5 hours, and multiples of that do seem to work best for me. More recently, I've read that we should all be getting in the neighborhood of 9 hours a night.

Before my wife died, I typically slept 7.5 hours a night. Now, most nights I get about 6 and not always in one span of time. I keep trying to make 9 straight hours of sleep happen, but it's extremely rare for me.
