Ten years ago an ectopic pregnancy almost fucking KILLED me, and the doctors told me that reimplantation would not work. It's not a fucking thing. I had no choice but to terminate.

This is just another bullshit argument made up by people who act like they give a fuck about "life" when in all reality they just want to control women's bodies and punish those of us who can't successfully give birth.

2 lives ended inside me. How much you wanna bet some of these sick fucks who support passing this kind of legislation would love to see me locked up for what happened to me??

Stay classy, Republicans.

Isn't their quaint, 15th century view of the world just cute?

No matter how far we progress, they keep pushing their syphilitic, morally bankrupt dream of a worldwide corporate fiefdom where women are chattel and property.

I guarantee you the Ohio lawmakers are old and Republican. Guarantee it.

Too late to edit, but I want to add something.

I'm getting my tubes removed in January. We're still having sex. After years of being fluid bonded we keep forgetting to use a condom, so there's a tiny chance I could get pregnant again. If I do, we've decided together than an abortion is the only option, because I'm too scared to go through what I went through again.

This is a decision made with ugly crying, tears and snot running down my face.

I can't be pregnant again. I just can't. That is MY FUCKING CHOICE.
I would never, EVER tell another woman that my decision is the right one for them.

That's what these knuckledraggers don't understand, they can't understand. They're ignorant and THEY are letting their emotions control their decision making. Then they project that shit onto women as if we're the emotional ones who can't think rationally and make these kinds of sincerely difficult choices.

I read about this the other day. It is so far beyond my understanding how legislation can interfere with something so basic. And to create laws where the impossible can’t be done? Why not put doctors in jail if they fail to make paraplegics walk? That’s a far easier feat to accomplish.

I can't get my head around how these lawmakers talk about preserving 'life' but are happy to put a woman's life at risk over something that - in this case - is not even possible. I just don't get it.

If you really cared about human life, you would do ANY THING to save ANY BODY.

You'd be amazed at how religious mania can override basic logic and common sense.

One just might be amazed except that it happens every damn day, all day, in this Country. I'll never understand it. I've tried. And I've failed. Because logic and common sense win out with me. Every damn time!

I ain't got no time for fantasyland; that's what Disney theme parks are for.

Others go to to that other man-made invention, the Church. Let us pray!

I completely feel you there. Except, with churches it's more like "let us prey."

Prey on your minds, your consciousness, your wallets, your freedom of choice....

Is gerrymandering as widespread in Ohio as it was in MI, and NC, because if not, I think the ladies of Ohio might need to start looking into Lysistratan strategies to undo this type of mess.

Ancient Greek comedies about women withholding sex aside, the state of Ohio outside of Cuyahoga county (Cleveland) and progressive pockets like Portage county with Kent State University have always been as right-wing conservative as anywhere in the deep south. Come every election cycle Ohio Republicans salivate like Pavlov's dogs at the same push-button issues such like abortion. This is a transparent call to rally the troops.

For forty-nine years I've attempted to be the quintessential Southern Californian. Unfortunately Cleveland (pronounced Kuh-leave-land) is on my birth certificate. I still have a lot of relatives in greater Cleveland and I'm intimately familiar with the politics of Ohio.

Now is the time to vote these dumb fucks out of office. It looks like Ohio has broad recall laws as well.
Except if enough of the population is down for such social conservatism, and is voting leaders in to make legislation on that, what really can be done besides leaving Ohio?
