But it does bring up a good point. Someone who smokes cigarettes will have higher healthcare costs than someone who doesn't. How do we balance his freedom to smoke against our having to pay for his care?

Motorcycle riders are not required to wear helmets in many states. Yet states provide funding for traumatic brain injuries. Should we have to pay extra for someone who makes the decision to not wear a helmet?

We could keep going on this. Overweight. Inactive lifestyles. Heavy drinking. Jumping on trampolines. Swimming in shark infested waters. Sliding into second base. Promiscuous unprotected sex.
.
How do you do it now sweet cheeks?

Mom to little Billy, "if everbody jumped off a bridge, would you?"

You are free to move to those countries that have socialized healthcare.

Wow, you compare doing something reckless and silly like "jumping off a bridge" to providing health care for all the citizens of your country. Keep waving that flag!

Just those things enumerated by the Constitution

You are very lucky to live in a country in which its Constitution and Declaration of Independence cover absolutely everything the countries leaders will ever need to know to govern. Imagine that nothing has changed in almost 250 years. They sure were brilliant men. (Not to mention that these documents get "re-interpreted" all the time to suit the situation.) Didn't some of these same brilliant men fight for the separation of church and state? Most Americans don't seem to know that either. Keep that flag waving!

They want that everyone pays for the police, which protects their goods, but don't want anyone pays physicians, which save lives.

Well, try to understand, they have to save money so they can buy a lot of guns.
