no gay guys are far more superficial, you think women are bad, guys want their partners to have abs.

Women, in general, want things from men that many "big-city scene" gay men do not: money (be somewhat supported), children, stability, etc. A beautiful male physique or a big penis would just be "icing on the cake" for the lady.

Note that I said "big-city scene" gay men (a few exceptions, of course). Outside thereof, expect gays who are much more "accepting" of the natural human body.:biggrin1:, and who want many things that a woman would want from a man (perhaps most).

When relationships are built on someone's look or body, or some other physical trait, it will eventually fall into a million of pieces.

Don't except anyone to support you financially, either (straight women can't even expect men to do that anymore).

No, but you wouldn't find it any easier because no gay man would want you, so stay where you are. The grass isn't always greener, honey.

I think this statement is wrong. Even though the OP says that he is 100% straight, his longing for companionship could be taken for his desire to take a chance on a male/male relationship. One cannot " wake up gay", but one can wake up and decide to broaden his horizons. Maybe if he does have a few m/m experiences he will become not so much of a "hung shy guy". I say give the OP a break on the chance that it will help him.

if i woke up gay will I still be single? I can not find any women that will date me so will the odds of me finding a date go up if i was gay?
Well, if you were fully gay, you'd have to eliminate women as potential dates, and focus on guys.

Since the split in the population is pretty close to 50-50, I'd say that your probability of finding a date would stay roughly the same. Different group, same basic numbers.

WHY can you not find a date? THAT is the question you should ask.

I can't walk through a store...heck, I can't go grocery shopping at WalMart without getting hit on at least once. Whether I want it or not! And I'm a short, overweight man in his 40s, with a 1950s style flattop...hardly a Chippendale's dancer.

Something has to be "wrong" with you...an attitude, an appearance, something in your body language, overwhelming shyness perhaps, given your user name? A pheromone reeking of desperation? There are women who find any combination of traits desirable...shy awkward geek is even a viable option.

Finding someone to date is not hard.

Why are you having so much trouble? What do you do when you approach a woman for the first time? Maybe we can help you figure out what's going on.
