Yeah, M_P, it may still be true for Canada, but unfortunately not so anymore here in the USA. Over the years, the lining has
disappeared more and more and is now non-existing in off-the-rack suits and pants.

Well thats just a damn shame.

Today you find them only in the very high
end suits, or custom made ones. To me if you are going to pay
top dollar in the first place, you might just as well go for custom
made. They fit perfectly from the very beginning instead of
having to be altered or adjusted to your body, and hang better
because of the better linings in the jackets and the pants.

for me it's not about being noticed. I buy $400 suits and don't need stains on em.

I as rule go commando when wearing suits the only time i wear underwear is if my suit is of a lighter material or a lighter color
i am not real endowed so if anything shows it maybe the head

I have to dress casual at work, dockers and a nice shirt. I started wearing boxers because about a year ago but then on our breaks we started walking for exercise. needless to say walking and boxers don't go together or they didn't for me. I needed some support so I went back to wearing my Jockey (w/spandex) trunks again. give me plenty of support.
