No the best of situations, I grant, but what is done is done.

You may wish to abstain from your girlfriend for a while - if you (god forbid) catch something and transmit it to her, you will never hear the end of it.

Since you are concerned for the risks of diseases, I believe you would be keeping an eye out for any sores, itches and discharges. Best of luck to you.

If it is of any consolation, you will not be the first man whose actions had been led by the wrong head.

No girlfriend.... Broke up January.

Planned on getting updated testing after her, so will schedule a full one when I get back from Vacation.

Guessing I'm probably fine, but will not be making that mistake again.

Dude quit beating yourself up. You're single. You got a lap dance and blow job. So what? You're more likely to get hit by a bus than get herpes off a stripper.

Agreed, I don't really think it's that big of a deal. Besides, it was only a bj.

You're more likely to get hit by a bus than get herpes off a stripper.

This is not quite true though...approx 1 in 5 people have herpes syntax virus type 1 (oral) or type 2 (genital). If she didn't have any visible coldsores though it's quite unlikely that you caught herpes. I don't think there's much of a risk of getting any other std's from a bj.

I agree. very little chance of herpes, and virtually no chance of anything else.

Lower the drama quotient and move on. Who among us hasn't gotten the odd unauthorized bj?

Bro be careful about that Levaquin. I find that some antibiotics (particularly that one) give me some severe acute depression and that I do stupid things while on them. I'm not saying that's what caused this, but it might not have helped with the drinking.

HSV 1 or Herpes Simplex, ( not Syntax), can indeed to be transmitted by oral-genital contact and produce genital herpes. The lack of noticeable mouth or lip sores is no guarantee of safety, in fact, viral shedding is greatest before an outbreak. FYI . . .

Lol soz, was halfway there...simplex...syntax...close enough haha. I never said that you couldn't get hsv1 on your genitals if someone has hsv1 orally. Btw, I don't need your 'facts' since I know all bout hsv since I have it. I was just saying that the OP was probably overreacting...you're always at the risk of catching SOMETHING when you encounter any sexual acts.

Weird... just brought home ingredients for one twenty minutes ago. :eek13:

Made one a few nights ago and everybody pigged it. Need more.

How was your carrot cake, Bro? I am sure it was tasty but just not the cake for me.

Anyway... I realize this guy is freaked about catching something from a stripper who blew him. The question I ask is... would he feel this creeped out about it if she wasn't a stripper, say it was a horny woman down the block. All it takes is one person to spread a disease and it doesn't matter their profession.

The reality is, he likely caught nothing, and if he is worried he can go to an STD clinic anywhere and get tests. Life happens, move on, and like I said above, if you didn't like it, don't do it again!

what don't people understand. he regrets it because he put himself at the risk of catching diseases. he doesn't do one night stands or picks up randoms so he went against what he stands for. he lost control for a bit. nothing wrong with the regret. let's just hope there are no consequences

have you gone to the doctor to have a check-up. always pee after having an intercourse with someone you were not sure enough if they were healthy, drink 2-3 bottles of beer, that was effective. if symptoms still persist consult the doctor, they will give you some antibacterial medicines that you should take regularly, i had a friend who had herpes before and said that it took only a month of medication because he go to the doctor immediately.

Been in exactly the same situation myself. From the best that I can tell once you're under the influence of alcohol it's physically impossible for a man to refuse a BJ - myself included. Especially if you're already horned up.

At this point it's not worth over-analyzing and worrying over. Just keep an eye on the equipment to make sure everything is working and looking ok and chalk it up to having a memorable, new experience.

Oh dear where to begin... people really need to be educated about stds.

have you gone to the doctor to have a check-up. always pee after having an intercourse with someone you were not sure enough if they were healthy, drink 2-3 bottles of beer, that was effective. if symptoms still persist consult the doctor

I don't know where you got this from....but peeing after sex and drinking beer will not prevent you from transmitting an std. people should always get regular checkups and std tests if they are not in committed relationships. It's just common sense.

You don't have to be a slut to get an std, it's as simple as that,

they will give you some antibacterial medicines that you should take regularly, i had a friend who had herpes before and said that it took only a month of medication because he go to the doctor immediately.

Even though symptoms disappeared after a month, the disease didn't. Once you have herpes, you have it for life. Which means there's still always a risk of transmitting it to someone (but a very slight risk if you take the meds every single day). I hope your friend realises this.

Stds like chlamydia are different....they are not viral so can be cleared up with only a couple of tablets.

actually there are a number of STDs you can catch from oral-genital contact:

HIV (low risk; risk is primarily for oral performer), herpes, HPV, gonorrhea, chlamydia, syph (estimated 15% of syph cases are from oral), hepatitis B (limited).
