Okay, so I guess I've kind of been struggling with this for a long time, and I'm ready to finally just accept the fact that I'm gay.

I felt the need to kind of officially "come out," even if it is anonymously and online to a bunch of strangers.

Congratulations on coming out to us! I think you will find it a lot easier to come out to others (friends, co-workers, etc.) now. You have taken a big step forward. Take pride in this!

Now that you admitted it to yourself, it'll get a lot easier telling other people. Eventually you might be comfortable enough to tell your friends. When that happens, if they stay friends with you, they're GREAT friends! If not, they weren't a true friend to begin with. I came out in grade 12 and since then I've been happier by a longshot. Make sure your first kiss and sex with a guy is with someone who means something to you.

Congratulations! I can definitly sympathise, it took me a good few years of beating myself up until i finally accepted it. I'm a lot happier now, and shagging boys is far more fun than shagging girls!

Tell me about it, i thought i was being so sneaky and secretive all those years, and since i came out more than one person has told me that all ready had a fairly good idea that i was gay!

Congratulations on this first big step. I have to agree with Sares and Kank. Everybody in your life probably already suspects.

Now, make a list of all the people you care about and pick the person who you think is least likely to freak (and able to keep a secret until you're ready). From an advice perspective, it really helps if they're gay and out. Pick a day this week and go tell them. Once you have one person in your life who you can talk to, it gets even easier.

Coming out can be a good thing for most people. Sometimes though, it can be a bit tense.

I've never "come out". I have always been the way I am now. I didn't have to tell my parents although, I don't think my dad ever caught on to it, really. My partner and I just celebrated our 22nd anniversary. He has been made a part of my family as I am with his. But as for the sitting down to dinner and breaking the news... that never happened, for either of us.

    But BNF... welcome
