If you really want to take a trip down memory lane...we have all of the That Girl episodes on DVD. There is a fun drinking game that goes with it, it's called "Oh Donald" every time that line is said you take a shot!

Marlo rules!!! You are zealots, aren't you? That sounds like too much fun. Not sucking up.

I agree wholeheartedly, Nudie!
Tardis: unfortunately on my mobile now, will check it out tomorrow.

Another classic that I saw as a child (dubbed as well) but cannot recall its English name (over here it was called: Alpha 1999). It was a sci-fi too (almost similar to Star Trek). Don't remember much only that I loved it! There was this exotic character named Maya who could shape-shift into anything (they always indicated it first by showing the reflection of her intended form in her eye). Do you know what I'm referring to? The captain is a famous actor whose name is also lost on me now...

Here it was "Space: 1999"

Plot Summary for
http://pro.imdb.com/rg/plotsummary-title/tconst-pro-header-link/title/tt0072564/

In 1999, Moonbase Alpha, nestled in the Lunar crater Plato, is a scientific research colony and watchdog over silos of atomic waste from Earth stored on the Moon's far side. On September 13, 1999, magnetic energy builds to cause an explosive chain-reaction of the waste, blasting the Moon out of Earth orbit and off the plane of the ecliptic, out of the Solar System. The inhabitants of Moonbase Alpha are unable to return to Earth and must survive on their wandering Moon as it is displaced further into unknown space by freak space warps. Along the way, they are joined by an alien woman with the ability to change herself into any living creature at will. Written by Kevin McCorry

. . . , Dynasty, yes the one that started it all. . . .

I think it was rather Dallas that started it all, not so...?

Honestly, I'm not sure. In my mind not, and Dallas was a poor imitation. and I was so young.
I'll let you do the research on that. Feel free to correct me.

No need for research, I was a TV addict as a child, I would know.

Dallas (and Knot's Landing) started before Dynasty. The Colby's (of California was a spin-off of Dynasty).

Interesting fact: Knot's Landing was the original story pitched and the producer's were more intrigued by the possible storyline of Gary Ewing's oil barron brothers in Dallas. Hence Dallas saw the light and KL came after that.

Thank you, that was sooo interesting.

Battlestar Galactica (I didn't start watching until about 3 months ago, and I almost put my life on hold to watch the entire series).

Me too ! My ex got me hooked on Battlestar and we'd go on a marathon run watching it.

You should check out The 4400. Really good !

I don't watch tv either. I only go out and buy the season DVDs / boxed sets. Good for rainy days or weekends that I'm off.
