Those days are not gone everywhere. Recently a high school student in Bossier City, LA, was expelled for taking Aleve for a headache. This raised quite a furor, and the school board met to discuss the situation. At the end of the discussion, the ban on all non-prescription drugs was upheld. Apparently the students are expected to bite the bullet.
