I'm voting Republican because being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and
you need our prayers for your recovery.
I'm voting Republican because Government should relax regulation of Big Business and Big Money but crack down on individuals who use marijuana to relieve the pain of illness.
I'm voting Republican because "Standing Tall for America" means firing your workers and moving their jobs to India.
I'm voting Republican because a woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions
    affecting all mankind without regulation.
I'm voting Republican because Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of
    homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.
I'm voting Republican because the best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.
I'm voting Republican because group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless you someday run for governor of California as a Republican.
I'm voting Republican because if condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.
I'm voting Republican because a good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.
I'm voting Republican because HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of the public at heart.
I'm voting Republican because providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.
I'm voting Republican because global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.
I'm voting Republican because Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.
I'm voting Republican because a president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.
I'm voting Republican because Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.
I'm voting Republican because the public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades, but George Bush's driving record is none of our business.
I'm voting Republican because what Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the '80s is irrelevant.
I'm voting Republican because trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

I'm voting Democrat because of my bitter hatred of Republicans.

I'm voting Republican because of my bitter hatred of Democrats.

You know, this is a sure sign that the USA is in deep shit. When people cannot possibly put aside their partisan bullshit to help move the country forward.

    BOTH SIDES are the problem.

I agree. It's interesting that you and I are the only ones who realized that Indy was joking, as he is a Democrat and not a Log Cabin Republican.

Um---actually--- its only ONE side that is the problem--- the republicans have been in total power for 8 years and dominated the legislative branches for 12.

And it is only the republicans who have undermined the constitution, who have handed out hundreds of billions of tax dollars for no bid contracts to corporation they have stock in... One party who has endorses torture and the abridgment of sue process, one party that has unilaterally broken treaties, unilaterally deceived the American public as to the reasons for invading another country...

Only one that has illegally politicized the justice depart.
Only one the has expanded the rights of corporations to gain bankruptcy protection while they eliminated the rights of citizens to do the same.

only one that committed a treasonous act... and then obstructed the investigation of that crime, and then, when the Scooter got tossed in jail... Actually had the balls to PARDON a member of their administration for perjury and obstruction of justice in the investigation of treason.

Only one that managed to take a world wide sympathy for the horror of 9/11 and turn it into a world wide revulsion at how low the US is willing to stoop...

I am not saying the democrats are angles... but, this time around, no one can blame the democrats for one iota of the clusterfuck republicans have made of this nation's economy.

You had me going until "I'm voting Republican because Government should relax regulation of Big Business and Big Money but crack down on individuals who use marijuana to relieve the pain of illness."

For some reason that one made me realize you were full of it.

I'm voting Republican because even though the last two years of a Democratic controlled Congress, the stupid, blithering idiot of a President was still smart enough to get everything he wanted passed by Congress.

I'm voting Republican because the President has a much higher approval rating than the Democatically controlled Congress.

Why would you base your vote on approval ratings? Approval ratings show how other people feel. Shouldn't you vote based on how you feel about the candidates?

The Republican party doesn't believe that gay people deserve the same human rights as straight people. In short, John McCain considers you less of a human being and less of an American than your straight neighbor. How does that make you feel, Skylar?

Actually, it's Sklar, not Skylar.

I'm no less an American than anyone else in America who was born here or came here legally.

I do vote on how I feel about the issues that are important to me. You missed the irony I was pointing out on how people denigrade (sp) the President, yet he still gets what he wants from a Democratically controlled Congress and he is more popular than Congress is.

I've stated numerous times why I vote Republican and, quite frankly, I'm not in a mood to justify myself to total strangers (nothing personal) why except for this:

I can't help voting Republican, I was born that way.

Sorry about getting your name wrong. And hey, you don't have to justify your vote to anyone. It's yours to do whatever you want. I was just wondering whether you realized that, as a gay man, Republicans like Sarah Palin probably didn't want you to be their neighbor or teach their children math or, god forbid, science in school.

And I got the irony of your point, though I completely disagree with it.
