Impeach Mitch Mcconnell

Moscow Mitch is a traitor in the true sense of the word. He will betray friends, country, principles, truth, all for the purpose of maintaining power. McConnell is utterly without character and dignity. He stands solidly with Trump Republicanism, which is a white nationalist movement posing as a conservative political party.

McConnell has remained conspicuously quiet as three Senate committee chairmen have begun two separate probes into his onetime “trusted partner.”

Moscow Mitch's assault on the Constitution continues with plan for sham impeachment hearing

"So Moscow Mitch McConnell has made it all but official: The Republican Senate will acquit Donald Trump in his impeachment trial. He may as well just have the vote to dismiss the charges and not even bother with the trial, since the outcome is already assured.

Republicans have already decided among themselves that it's not worth hearing from witnesses, likely because they can find no witnesses who can effectively defend Trump. The only testimony they would hear would undoubtedly be damning; better to avoid it entirely. And they admit that freely.

"Witnesses would be a double-edged sword," Sen. Mike Braun, an Indiana Republican, told The Washington Post. Calling witnesses would be "mutually assured destruction," McConnell reportedly told his conference in a meeting this week.

He's not positive, says the Post, that he's got 51 votes to arrange the hearing so that only Trump's witnesses get to speak, and if he had to get any Democrats to get to 51, then they'd have leverage to call their witnesses. So Trump won't be getting his wish—hauling Rep. Adam Schiff and the Bidens and the anonymous whistleblower before the Senate.

McConnell dismisses the idea of needing to call witnesses because he's sure the majority will decide "they've heard enough and believe they know what would happen." Meaning acquittal.

Meaning everyone's minds are made up and he's going to have a sham hearing and none of the witnesses who have firsthand knowledge of what Trump did vis-a-vis Ukraine will have to talk."

... age appropriate, at least. Maybe NOW he "gets it."

MEANWHILE:

Mitch McConnell Brags About Blocking Obama For 2 Years, Then Laughs About It | HuffPost

"Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Thursday night bragged about blocking President Barack Obama’s attempt to fill federal judicial vacancies for two years. Then, he laughed about it as he discussed the Republican Party’s effort to stack the courts with conservative judges under ... Trump.

“I was shocked that former President Obama left so many vacancies and didn’t try to fill those positions,” Fox News host Sean Hannity said to McConnell.

Obama didn’t leave those vacancies so much as he was blocked from filling them by a GOP-controlled Senate led by McConnell ― something the majority leader was quick to point out.

“I’ll tell you why,” he said. “I was in charge of what we did the last two years of the Obama administration.”

Then, he laughed."

More than anyone single person Mitch McConnell has been the executioner of American democracy with Newt Gingrich a close second.

McConnell hopes $1 billion Kentucky bribe blinds voters to the fact he's tearing up the Constitution

"Moscow Mitch McConnell is tempering some of the heat he's taking back home over his completely unprincipled collusion with Donald Trump on impeachment as he usually does—with bribes for voters.

The Senate majority leader put a point on the fact that he has all the power by getting nearly $1 billion worth of tax cuts and federal spending for Kentucky.

He touted the achievement in a press conference in Louisville, The Hill reported, saying he gives Kentucky "an advantage to punch above its weight" by being one of the four people who make decisions on where the money goes.

Notice he doesn't talk about the $200 million from Russia he helped engineer for the state by lifting sanctions against the country. Maybe he doesn't want Kentucky remembering that he's greased the skids for Putin's pals to start taking over the state's economy.

Mitch McConnell should be running scared instead of gloating about Trump impeachment: poll – Alternet.org

meanwhile:

You know that trainload of hundreds of bills Senate Republicans have blocked? Here's a linked list

[MOSCOW] Mitch McConnell Blasted For Loyalty To Donald Trump By Top Kentucky Newspaper

"Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has been open about his intention of coordinating with the White House for the upcoming Senate trial on the impeachment of Donald Trump, which has led to criticism from some. In an op-ed for the Louisville Courier-Journal, Kent Greenfield of Kentucky – McConnell’s constituency – took aim at the senator for his approach to the impeachment probe, Newsweek reports.

“We Kentuckians know that our word is our bond. Oaths are the most solemn of promises, and their breach results in serious reputational — and sometimes legal — consequences,” the editorial began, before noting that Trump will be heading to trial for breaching an oath and accusing McConnell of being “about to breach two.”

According to Greenfield, the Constitution requires a fair, impartial Senate hearing. He noted that if [Trump] has not acted correctly, it is the duty of the Senate to “be faithful in its adjudication of the case against him.”

“But we have already seen indications that McConnell has no intention of doing impartial justice. He has said that he does not consider himself an ‘impartial juror.’ He is coordinating strategy with the White House.”

Typical Trump shill bs response:

Blowing It 2.jpg

No, bud, got to impeach some traitorous mfkr who has blocked efforts to protect the vote from Putin's interference/influence, who's profited from dealings with Russians, who's colluded with an impeached W.H. occupant for the purposes of subverting a fair Senate trial, who's rubber stamped judicial appointments deemed unqualified by the ABA, and who is FUCKING SITTING ON 300 BIPARTISAN BILLS passed by the House and sent to the Senate, and then BRAGGED about it.

But then again, as you've written before, you don't fkng CARE. Troll xsml.jpg

It's fascinating how far removed your response is from what b.c.'s citation was talking about. "Willfully perverse" are the words that come to mind.

...and willfully ignorant comes to mine... or the kinder "alternative facts."

FACT is, McConnell is JUST as guilty as Trump, if not more, of undermining the functioning of government and acting in the interest of our foreign adversary, Russia. And NOT too coincidentally, they both also have money ties to them. That's why MOSCOW Mitch keeps blocking bills aimed at shoring up election security:

"The report cited a series of controversial stances that appear to have hurt McConnell’s approval rating, including

  • his support of Donald Trump’s ongoing trade war with China, which has hurt the logging industry in Kentucky.
  • opponents who dubbed him “Moscow Mitch” after McConnell blocked legislation that would protect U.S. election security
  • blockage of a bill to extend health benefits to 9/11 first responders.
  • Trump’s impeachment, with McConnell publicly saying [working] closely with the White House toward [Trump's] acquittal.

Moscow Mitch's Republicans issue another invite to Putin to interfere in 2020's election
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/20...vite-to-Putin-to-interfere-in-2020-s-election
"Senate Democrats tried again Tuesday morning three times to bring election security legislation to the floor. Democratic Sens. Mark Warner of Virginia, Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, and Oregon's Ron Wyden all tried to bring bills to the floor for unanimous consent. Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn was Moscow Mitch's henchwoman for this round.

Blackburn, who apparently wants to make sure Putin knows that Republican doors are still open to him, didn't just object to the unanimous consent requests, she got nasty.

"You would think that after spending weeks in this chamber litigating the finer points of their disagreements with [Trump's] foreign policy..."

[That'd be the criminal-in-chief's attempt to EXTORT a foreign government for dirt on a political rival and attempting to COVER IT UP]

"... that our friends in the minority would be weary of picking another partisan fight, but here we go again." Because keeping foreign government out of our elections is now a partisan thing.

To prove how virulently partisan she is in calling out partisanship, Blackburn then introduced her own bill to have the Government Accountability Office "look into the debacle in Iowa.""

'Grim Reaper' Mitch McConnell Admits There Are 395 House Bills Sitting in the Senate: 'We're Not Going to Pass Those'

"During a television interview, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that 395 bills sitting in the Senate are not going to be passed.

On Fox News Friday, anchor Bret Baier asked McConnell if Democrats' statements about those bills were true and whether they could move forward. McConnell confirmed that it was the case, but also said that proposed legislation would be rejected.

"It is true," the senator said. "They've been on full left-wing parade over there, trotting out all of their left-wing solutions that are going to be issues in the fall campaign. They're right. We're not going to pass those."

When asked about a bipartisan infrastructure bill, McConnell said that it may not be a "big" bill, because it would "require dealing with the revenue sources that both sides are nervous about raising the gas tax, which is a regressive tax on low-income people."

When asked about legislature regarding prescription drugs, McConnell said that while there are "differences on both sides," there is a chance that the Senate will be able to legislate on the issue.

"It's not that we're not doing anything. It's that we're not doing what the House Democrats and these candidates for president on the Democratic ticket want to do," he said."

No, you lying ------------. Many of those bills (enumerated HEREIN) had bipartisan support in the HOUSE, and YES, it's that YOU AND YOUR SENATE CRONIES AREN'T DOING SHIT.

Moscow Mitch makes it clear with opposition to prescription drug pricing bill: Mitch comes first

"Impeached Donald Trump has made lots of supportive noises about a bill with bipartisan support in the Senate to bring down drug prices, written by Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley and Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden.

Knowing that Democrats are going to be running hard on health care in all the states, some Republican senators—such as Arizona's Martha McSally, Iowa's Joni Ernst, and Maine's Susan Collins—would really like to have this pass. They need something to run on.

Grassley says so: "Since [Trump] stated [his support] in his State of the Union message, we've had a lot of Republicans express interest that probably wouldn't have."

But one obstacle remains: Mitch McConnell has remained steadfast against it.

He says it divides his conference, as there are some Republicans who don't like that it would cap price increases or force companies that raised prices above the cap to pay out rebates as their penalty. They say that amounts to price controls, so McConnell is pointing to that as a reason for his opposition. What he's not talking about is the massive haul his campaign fund has received in the past year from the drug industry.

McConnell is the top recipient among all members of Congress for the 2019-2020 cycle from the pharmaceutical industry."

It's amazing just how many americans. Not even talking republicans and conservatives. Will allow obvious wrongs to be considered right. It's more than a tad deflating to be honest.

Then again, as a black man in america we're used to it.

Meaning, come to expect it, but never accepting of it.
