I just saw a news article on TSA's new pat down procedure. Apparently quite a few passengers and pilots are disturbed with the procedure and he potential grouping that has or might occur. I am wondering if anyone has any first hand TSA experience with this new procedure?

Easy way to fix this ask the person if they would like a hot women or hot man to pat them down.

I hear this bullshit from whiny pussies like JOHN TYNER and I have to wonder what the people who paid with their lives in the 3 planes on 9/11 would say about this jerk . NO security measure is too extreme if it saves your life!
I am certain the victims of 9/11 who crashed into the Twin towers and the field in PA. would be happy to endure a groping to still be with their families !

If I were subjected to one of those pat downs, I would make it very clear that if they touched me inappropriately I would be seeing them in court. I have never been afraid of standing up to anyone, and a security guard going on an ego trip certainly doesn't scare me (I'll refuse a body scanner too). There is a point that you have to draw the line. Feeling up people's genitals is past that line. We have a right to privacy and molestation is against the law.

    Period.

Although... seeing the surprise on the security person's face might be worth it. ;)

Ok, I can't be the only one here who has read these articles and thought with a small grin "Hmm, refusing the scanner and going for the pat-down could certainly spice up an otherwise boring trip to the airport..."
If the guard/guardess were hot, I think I might have a hard time keeping my arousal under the radar even if I tried.

I agree. I'd rather be patted down or even groped than blown up in a plane by a group of terriorist idiots.

Dang, I just typed a big response, and clicked go advanced, instead of post quick, so this is gonna be shorter than I wanted. Figure that the average TSA employee will probably pat down 2-3 thousand a day, so within a few months they'll have patted down over 100,000 people. Not everyone they pat down is a porn model or famous actress. They've got everyone else to pat down, whether they want to or not, just think, they aren't even given a choice. I think the least people could do is comply with the new regulations. If you're afraid of the touching then do a scan. (about people saving the scanned pics, they should be severely punished, but from what I heard it'd be hard to put a specific face to a scan). if you're avoiding both of these options, maybe you have something to hide....

I really understand how many people could be uncomfortable with a patdown or the body scanning but I just don't care. I honestly don't care who sees my dick or brushes it during a patdown. Really. Just let me get to my flight on time so I can get the hell where I am going.

If you dont want to be patted down then ride a bus !... Honestly most of the people on the plane are not ALL THAT HOT probably not hung or blessed with large breast, so its not anything sexual. If it saves a life and keeps you from crashing into the ground and dieing THEN PUT UP WITH IT.... IF ITS INAPPROPRIATE THEN COMPLAIN WHEN YOU GET BACK HOME SAFELY... its part of the deal.... shut up and quit complaining.... OR ride the bus/drive.

i'm not sure, but it is my understanding that any thing inserted up a persons butt or vagina can not be seen or detected by this scan.kind of makes this scan not all that effective in finding explosives. just sayin...

i work for an airline out of LAX and i saw the news too. my oppion: if people dont like the new scan/pat down...take more time off and book with www.amtrak.com for U.S & Canada only and Greyhound.com | Home for Canada U.S & Mexico. this is my 2 cents!.!.!

The scan sees all. If you're going commando or in boxers, it might as well be all hanging out there.
I'll take the pat down. I just want to pick the pattor!

You know, I recently traveled via airline. While in line to get thru security, another passenger mentioned that they would happily go thru one of the '3D scanners' in order to make the security safer or even get thru quicker. I agreed. If you don't know, the '3D scanners' allow security personnel a full view of your nude body when passing thru the scanner. I personally have no issue with it, as long as the images are not stored, transferred, or copied/sold/etc. Maybe the airlines/airports can be held to a confidentiality agreement similar to the same confidentiality agreement that healthcare professionals are held accountable for.

As far as TSA personell patting down my junk. I couldn't care less. I'd rather a obese, post-menopausal, under paid, cranky, single mom of 5 kids, with an attitude problem, trucker hands, and bad breath grope my crotch for a few seconds than to go down in flames in plane crash.

I too FULLY agree...folks we live in a NEW world..and if it makes my job ( flight attendant ) easier then I'm ALL for it! Pat downs have been going on for YEARS..and the new scanners (which, I think need MORE research and study on its effects) are just an option...you have a CHOICE..and ya can ALWAYS drive yourself..if you do get the pat down then PAY ATTENTION to the process..you can surely judge for yourself is its beyond JUST a pat down..if it helps travel with someone so you have proof of anything invasive...bottom line...its 2010...get with the times !

I recently flew out of West Palm and had to go through their new body scanner. I will admit I felt very vulnerable. They had me reposition myself twice and the scan took about 30 seconds. It may not seem like a long time but it felt like forever to me. I can't say I'd be more comfortable with a pat down, but it made me decide to drive instead of fly on my next trip.

with all this pissing and moaning they STILL do NOT scan the stuff that goes under the plane.... Most cleaning personnel work 2-3 jobs, so getting a uniform and 'pre-loading' something on a plane is not all that complex either...

Sorry but if 'bad people' REALLY wanted to do these type of actions.... is some 9$/hour bored person really going to hinder ALL of it from some determined loon?

As to the "DON"T SCAN ME' types...please... grow a pair, put on your big boy underoos and shut up (or as someone said, Greyhound.com | Home)... you are only slowing down (and pissing off) the folks who just want to get on and off the plane.
