I am sure I am not the only one when I say this, that my erection quality has declined considerably over the last couple of years.

I know, everyone says kegel, kegel, kegel. I have been kegeling hard for 2 years now, and have strong PC muscles. However, 2 years ago, I could get erect whenever I wanted, and stay erect. Nowadays, it is difficult to get over 80% erection when I am not with my girlfriend. And the drop from 80% to 50% takes only a few seconds. For example, after stroking like crazy, I picked up my camera quick, took a picture, and I had already lost a lot of the erection. Even when with my girlfriend, once stimulation stops, I lose the erection almost completely within a matter of 30 seconds or so. So, this is the right time to take action. I don't know how or why this is happening, considering I used to stay erect so easily before. I am 21 now, by the way. Also, thanks to kegeling, I am able to orgasm without ejaculating, but it's a pain getting erect again, so all the effort feels redundant now.

I just don't know exactly what. I have read through enough articles, and I really don't want to go for drugs.

How do you folks maintain your erection? What are your secrets? Have you noticed a sharp drop beyond your teen years?

you are only 21 and you are having this problem??? either you are too focused on getting it up or you have a physical problem, like high blood pressure, cholesterol. I am 57, do kegels every day, still have rock hard erections(not random, by myself, usually the wife assists), have morning wood 3-4 times a week. I don't take viagra or anything like that. I am not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was.

when I was your age, my cock was as hard a chisel in seconds, my recovery time was negligible. I think you should get a checkup.

I'd work on running, biking, cardiovascular activity.

I've noted this problem in the last couple years of college (I'm 21 as well). Nothing alarming, but a definite decline. I've never had a problem staying hard for sex, but noted some of the things you've mentioned.

I'd attribute it to laziness, lack of exercise, and general not taking care of myself now that I'm out on my own at school. With all the work the incentive is to use all my free time partying and drinking and such things that aren't really great for you.

My plan for this summer is to start getting in decent shape again. I was never an athlete, but I worked outside at a tree nursery, walking miles and miles a day and lifting heavy shit. If you're cardiovascular system experiences a decline, so will your erection ability.

Also on the college things subject, if you take stimulants for ADD or to help study (or party), drink a lot of caffeine, smoke cigarettes or drink too much those will definitely have a detrimental effect.

Qua, good points there. I will definitely start visiting the gym soon, I am sure that will help. I don't drink coffee, smoke and rarely drink, so thankfully that side is covered. Luckily, I am able to stay at least 90% erect during actual sex.

Here are some things that work for me:

http://www.lpsg.org/95782-free-classic-beginners-pe-routine.html
-The first results of PE before you see growth, are harder, more frequent erections.
-Don't eat fatty food or drink too much caffiene (coffee, coke etc)
-Eat spicy food and drink herbal teas that boost circulation (ginger, ginseng, gingko biloba etc)
-Like others mentioned, exercise!
