I don't have quite that level of disdain for him, but he did manage to desecrate standards that were impervious to poor singers for decades. Quite an accomplishment.

Rod Stewart also did a sweet, soulful version of this song(in 1977), but to prevent joy's vomiting I give you P.P. Arnold's powerful perfomance from 1967 instead:
