In my opinion The Oatmeal's break down of Twilight is not only accurate as fuck but hysterically funny as well.

How Twilight Works - The Oatmeal

This made me laugh until my stomach hurt!

I must admit I saw the first in the theatre (so ashamed). I heard about when it was in the dollar theatre. I didn't know about the books at that point. Anyway I had played hooky from work one day and my sis and I decided to go visit the liquor store for some mini vodkas and go to a 1 pm dollar show. We had a great laugh. I admit, it was fun. The hooky and vodka and stilted lines did the trick.

Sometime much later I downloaded book 1 and 2 somewhere and read them both in one day and any fun feelings for the unintentional camp of the first movie evaporated because all the characters were insufferable

In my opinion, while it’s not always the case, sometimes Christmas shopping can be a soul draining experience.
Apparently that has been the case for my youngest. In the search for a set of pjs that do not have long pants, she texted me and said - “we found one pair - they made D want to hurl. Did not buy them. Been to three malls. Want something else?”

*insert evil laugh here*

I thought airports were always crowded?

No, or at least certainly not like a high street of a large city. There are also rarely massive queues in the shops in the departure lounge. At least in my experience.

In my opinion, there should be a setting on your car that lets it shake snow off like a dog shaking off water. My bad shoulder aches from 10 minutes of brushing and digging my car out!

Well, you obviously have two Canadian lady friends! :)

Seriously, I’d run my brush through the snow and it barely made a dent. It took forever to uncover my car.

I’m so sorry for your friend. It’s even more difficult when you’re used to a loved one helping you. At least I’m accustomed to doing for myself. Sometimes my neighbour’s husband does it for me, but his work is on the road. She’d be lost without him.
