In my opinion...

In my opinion, despite all the attention “Game of Thrones” is currently (& deservedly) receiving, “The Wire” is still the greatest drama HBO has ever produced. “Deadwood” is the second greatest and “The Sopranos” is in third place.

I want to wait until the series finale before passing final judgement, but I don’t think GoT will slip into my personal top 3 list simply because the re-watchability factor for a random GoT episode isn’t as high as it is for the other three shows. I feel GoT is more enjoyable when consumed as an entire season (or series, if you’re in the UK).

Don’t get me wrong though: I am in no way knocking GoT. I fucking LOVE it!

I have never seen The Wire, but I hear a lot of good things about it. Based on your rec, I'm putting it on the list

It is -really- good. One of Rem's favorite TV shows, and it's up there for me, too.
