So here we are, almost seven years into the 21st century. How does it feel?

When I looked "in the future" as a kid, I thought things were gonna be a lot different. For instance - "in the future, jetpacks will be a reality for personal transportation".

They aren't. At least not to the point where somebody can make a buck off of em.

I knew a girl that had a good party game called "in the future", and it was a riot sometimes - a la LPSG, I'm noticing :biggrin1:

So what still hasn't changed in the 21st century? Or what is so 21st century, it needs to be reeled in a bit?

In the future...

I remember the magazine supplement in the Sunday paper when I was a kid in the 1950's showing future cars shaped like rockets and schools utilizing robots as teachers. Popular Science magazine was full of that stuff.

We've not met all of our potential for sure but here are a few things we have now that we didn't have not long ago:

Personal Computers and all of its offshoots
Cordless telephones and cellphones
Satellite TV
CAT scans and MRI's
Microwave ovens
Ear Thermometer (remember that oldfashioned rectal thing?)
Smoke/Radon/Carbon Monoxide Detectors for the home
Cordless Tools
Invisible Orthodonic Braces
Joystick Controllers
Advanced Plastics

I'll bet you guys can think of some more.

Lol, it took only three posts to turn to sex.

Understandably so :biggrin1:

Doesn't have to conform to space age stuff, as I see the early responses.

"In the future, there will be a common sex language developed to easily identify and communicate with a potential mate!"

You know... something dumb like that
