I think you are missing the point somewhat. Don't put effort whining about life's unfainess and what is happening to everyone else. Put effort into being positive and make the very best of your own situation. Some things you cannot change so accept them and get on with it.[/qu

i understand that but is easy to say that . what if unfair things happen to very close members of you family ?

I can't vote in that poll because it's both fair and unfair to me and everyone else at one time or another. Right this minute I could say it's fair, but in an hour something could happen and I'd say unfair.

Earthquakes, floods, cyclones, disease, starvation, homelessness.......

And many others things .

I've been hit by hurricanes, tornadoes and earthquakes. I've survived disease, crazy ex-boyfriends and living in places where you don't leave home without a gun. I've been sick, I've been broken down, I've lost so many friends to disease, drugs and violence I've been to more funerals than anyone I know.

I've been blessed with people who love me. I've had people help me that I've never seen before or since. I've met people who taught me things about life I never could have imagined. I've regained all that I lost (except my hair) through natural disasters and the acts of criminals.

Life is very fair. For every bad thing that has happened to me, something good has happened. Some of the bad things that happened to me even gave me a new perspective on life and appreciation for it, so in a way were actually good things.

Life is fair and it is only what you make of it.

Then deal with them in the best way you can. Shit happens. It's called life. I've no time for folks that sit around crying woe is me. I'll happily help anyone who wants to help themself though.

Life is unfair because some people get much better situations than others.
Some are born with good health, others with poor health. Some have perfect bodies, others have birth defects. Some have loving parents, others abusive parents who could care less. Some rich, and some poor. Nobody has any control over those things. Some people just get more and better chances along the way. Some are just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Sure, some of life is what we make of it. We have some control and some ability to change things. We can't change everything, and some things are nearly impossible to overcome. Life is not fair by design. It never has been, and it never will be. I don't see stating these facts as complaining.

I never thought I'd say this but...Viking, you took the words right out of my mouth.

We can do our best to put into life what it will take to get a positive outcome. And that works more often than not.

But sometimes, bad things just happen. And although some people don't like to hear the words, "nearly impossible," I think for some people, that's the naked truth. I know people who are so emotionally and mentally twisted by what they've been through, I don't think they'll ever find their way to happiness. I never stop hoping, but I'm not blindly optimistic.

These people didn't deserve to be dumped on (usually as children), be it by other human beings or by "nature." When bad things happen to complete innocents, that is the epitome of unfairness.

So no, I don't believe life is fair, but that doesn't stop me from moving forward to make the most happy and fulfilling life I can for myself and for the people around me.

The universe is inherently unfair. But, being a straight white male who went to college, it is much less unfair to me than it is for many others. Besides, "fair" is a subjective concept and therefore cannot be applied to achieve an objective solution. So just to shrug one's shoulders and say, "It's unfair", and not attempt to improve things is a cop-out.

If you are fortunate enough to have been born of normal size and have both arms and legs, and normal intelligence, it makes life fair.

If you are Lucky enough to live in the U.S. where most people have not gone hungry for even one day, life is fair.

You cant judge if life is fair or not based in only one person.
