i grew up in the age of cock rock.
Can’t say it’s that much better now.
I’m kind of immune to song lyrics of the time, but get on edge when similar things are said seriously, or badly delivered as to sound serious, in person.

I’m rolling it around in my head, still.
I think I’ve a box for artistic expression with mores of the day. See Huckleberry Finn.

But I think men and women should be savvy enough to not be heinously offensive out of the box.

This is separate from artist v. Politics. I’ll get there, later.

Do you make divisions between art/performance and social interaction?
If so, where are your lines? How do you defend them?

Oh I can't even defend the shit I listen to. It's offensive as FUCK in an indefensible way.

It's what I fuck with, I am offensive and indefensibly so inside my soul. I recognize it, and get it out of my soul by listening to the music that makes my blood run hot, as loudly as possible.

My "Tryin' to blow my speakers" thread in the Et Cetera section speaks for itself. A lot of that shit is offensive as fuck, even towards women. I won't defend it, but I jam the fuck out.
