I saw this video on YouTube today. Once he said that women should be treated like children, I totally got why he was single.
What do you guys think of the video or incels in general?
If you have a problem with all fill-in-the-blank chances are very high it’s you not them.
I agree. Transgenderism often seems to be rooted in conservative, traditional, clearly defined gender roles too. The fact that incels are predominantly male, and trans people are most likely to identify as female is relevantYep. He has no reason to blame anyone for his relationship status than himself.
What I find interesting about this stuff though, and I know a lot of people disagree with this, but their opinions aren't that far off from what a lot more conservative and traditionalist men think.
What do you guys think of the video or incels in general?
I disagree. The video itself was interesting and I wish they had released the whole thing. Not worthy of the attention you spend your free time giving them?
Whether for educational purposes or just frivolous entertainment, so many better vids to spend 8 minutes watching than that guy![]()

Say what you want about them, but incels are a real group and if we want to stop them from growing in number we need to listen to them and figure out where things went wrong in these people's lives.
"We", the general public, don't need to listen to these guys any more than we need to sit down and take time out of our day to listen to rapists.
There are sociologists and psychologists who have paid jobs to listen to these people and come to the public with constructive feedback, but there's no great truths to be found as a member of the general public listening to this drivel.

I don't get why you think the best way to solve this social problem is to just ignore it.
Reading comprehension, dude.
If I want to learn the warning signs for a rabid dog, I don't play junior detective and go watch videos of dogs barking aggressively and hope I walk away with an understanding. I just read advice and analysis from experts.
Do you have some kind of distrust or disdain for social scientists?
I was writing that while getting ready for work and totally missed that part. Sorry.
So you really don't think there is a value to hearing what these people have to say for yourself? I think there is a lot of value in listening to these people.
No. Like I said, I wouldn't spend my time listening to interviews with rapists either. Broadly speaking, I have a trust of scientists and the individuals who work in those fields. There's plenty of good material and good journalism out there about these guys. Hearing the insanity and misogyny directly from their mouths doesn't give me any added benefit, it's just a waste of time.

to how they are perceived by wider society. Gender binary according to incels is more likely to be called out as old-fashioned and backwards, whereas the same gender binary expressed by transgenderism rarely is.
I know I do and I speak as one who's actually been bitten by a rabid dog. The injections are not fun.BTW I think a lot of look at YouTube videos to see the warning signs of a rabid dog.

I do think you are perhaps a little bit drawn to the incel message to be so focused on it, but I agree with your general point that we need to engage with social problems first hand rather than ignore them or leave them to the 'experts' to solve.
I don't like the incel message, though I do find them very interesting.
