Its easy to say this, not being a yank, but let them fucking break away and screw their people if they want.
I dont know a lot about this health care program, but I do know one thing if it helps tho's in need, how can it be bad even it cost a little more

99 bottles of scotch on the wall, 99 bottles of scotch. Nick came around and drank them all down and now there are no bottles of scotch on the wallthat was the idea behind the "War on Poverty" and other liberal legislation of the Johnson Administration
the actual effect was exploding prison populations and disenfranchisement on a massive scale as the convicted found they lost their right to vote and participate in the democratic process, all because the liberals made it possible to bear fatherless children (via these welfare programs), who growing up fatherless, went on to create lives of crime
a sociologist I read as a child called it the iatragenic principle
so, yes, a great deal of harm may obtain
Since you claim to study sociology, what is the principle called when someone lives a big fat fucking lie their entire life, and acts as if everyone else is the one with the problem?a sociologist I read as a child called it the iatragenic principle

Ignoring the debate about whether these sociopaths actually 'think' or merely act out ingrained prejudices, I suggest they sit down read the US Constitution for the first time in their lives. That'll clear things up for them.A lot of people think the plan is literally unconstitutional, which is a big deal to many.

P.S your new sig really isnt the rock solid dem quote agaisnt Healthcare you want it to be. I mean, all she is saying is it will take time and is not a quick fix. But, ofcourse, you knew that
I didn't think she was giving a quote against Healthcare...
I believe Sen. McCaskill said Democrats are overpromising with their recent campaign to sell their healthcare bill as something people are going to love the benefits of immediately. That's not going to happen...and when it doesn't...people could be angry in November and 2012 and vote against Democrats. I believe Sen. McCaskill is saying sell it with a dose of reality. Of course that won't work either.
The Dems are out in November for being stupid.
Some day (and I hope soon) you need to learn the difference between a transitive verb and an intransitive verb and how to use them correctly.
You think you come across as lofty and erudite, but you actually write so poorly that you rarely make any sense.
You know, I was not solidly for or against this bill, but most of what I have heard were Democrats saying that the benefits would not be felt immediately.
And saying "The Dems are out in November for being stupid" in almost every one of your posts is not going to convince anyone other than you and maybe the one or two insane people who already agree with you that anything you say is remotely true. I hate flaming people, but if people were kicked out for being stupid, I couldn't imagine you would have been posting here very long.
you should be thankful I use Google (which points out my spelling error)
else you'd be suffering in even greater misery
(BTW, I am lofty and erudite -- whether I come across that way is another matter :tongue
