Good question. I’m an introvert, and like both both indoor and outdoor pursuits.
But light bothers me. I’m not a sunlight or overhead light person, and hate exposed light bulbs. I’ve been recently diagnosed as on the border of ADHD and Aspergers, and I’m told that’s not uncommon.
But too much much darkness depresses most people, too, and I’m no exception. I really like winter sports—the sun is directly overhead for a relatively short time each day, and the bright white surrounds keep you cheerful. I tend to get outside in the mornings and retreat in the mid-afternoons.
Indoors? Love minimalist and mid-century modern aesthetics, but all the high mounted windows and fluorescents drive me crazy with the overhead light. I want to be able to look out a window, not just get the light. Can’t sleep in if there’s a window over the bed head. What’s more, can’t stand looking onto the diffusers and open bulbs. Gimme a lampshade any day.
This may not be specifically what you were asking,
@Canbe, but maybe it’s relevant in to whether some men feel comfortable inside or outside.
