It's so sad that at the young age of 21 you have such a poor self-image about, of all things, body hair. Most men with little or no body hair would give anything to be furry. Suspect someone made a nasty comment to you when it started to happen and this has stuck with you, which is a pity. You need to realize that there are a great number of people who are very turned on by body hair...once a few of them start to follow you around like lost puppies I hope you'll start to appreciate just how sexy fur is...

Grass is always greener on the other side of the fence!

If you had no hair you'd probably feel a bit weird about it.

Not much you can do about it. Hopefully you don't go bald on the head! Although there is not much you can do about that either.

But if it is an issue there's many waxing/tanning places which will do a cleanup of the fuzzy stuff. If you think you want it removed from your back then you should go for it. And if you like it there's plenty of laser hair removal methods around these days.

When I was younger, I too hated body hair.. At least chest and back. I would shave my chest and wax the back,,, but now I really like who I am fur and all. I still could do without the back "pelt"' but I love my chest, especially when trimmed and even.

You can shave it totally smooth if you wanted to but who are you doing that for-- certainly not me or many 100s if not thousands of people online here and elsewhere the whole world over

Now if your gentically programmed to be totally smooth im afraid you will find far less people that find that to be a turn on unless of course you look like one of the male models/superstars on a magazine cover all airbrushed and false looking I might add.

There is proven scientific surveys done that indicate far more women when on the hunt for a quick shag prefer a male that exhibits masculine hairy features, like some facial hair, thick eyebrows hairy chest/legs. Gay men on the other hand when they are bottoms or versatile much prefer hairy guys sort of like 70% in favour. generally only some active guys or tops prefer smooth guys and unfortunately that will include a significant proportion that have a tendency to prefer twinks. Women when they are seeking a liftime partner for rearing children generally remove their preference criteria for both hairy and non hairy males.

I love hairy guys hair on their back face chest legs arse, its so fucking nice man-- keep it- ditch the pillock who dislikes it as it clearly shows less respect for who and what you are - hell next he will be asking you to wear lipstick and rouge and pluck your eyebrows too.

You posess some gorgeous natural attributes, these can be removed but sure as hell they cant be added, make best use of them

OMG, hairy dudes are way hot, so dont be insecure. it sounds like youre spending alot o time and money fighting something that alot o people enjoy. granted, its up to you, but i say lay off removing the stuff. If youre anything like my boyfriend, it only lasts a few days anyway before the hair comes back in full force.

since your hair is rough, trying using some conditioner on it. It sounds weird, but itll help make the hair softer. is you have body acne, try a conditioner like paul mitchell's tea tree.

so no lie though dude, body hair is manly, sexy and very virile.

Yeah, it really sucks and there isn't anything you can do about it. I spent $4,000 on laser hair removal on my chest and abs and it was huge waste of money. Hair got a little lighter, but no real hair removal to speak of.

I suggest maybe buying an epilator. I use it about every 3 days on my arms and back and it seems ok. Hair comes back slower and less prickly than if you just shave it. It will cost like $60 but I think it is worth of it. Won't work on thick hair though so using it on your legs would hurt like hell. Although, without seeing your legs, I wouldn't worry about those too much. Nobody really notices that stuff anyways.

But yeah, you're not the only one who feels like this. I haven't been to the beach in years because I don't feel comfortable with so much hair on my body and my skin is too sensitive to shave multiple times during a week. It sucks, but life could always be worse.

you're getting hairier at just the right time because it's very popular right now. It was difficult a few years ago when everybody was shaved smooth.

Also, I love hairy legs, butts, and lower backs (please excuse the term, but "welcome mats"). That's probably the sexiest thing ever!

I was going to make a thread similar to this one, but rather asking how much a woman appreciates a man who grooms himself, and if it's actually worth the effort for the guy to do so. The women that did reply in this thread say that they love hairy men, but mention only the hair on the chest and legs. But what about the back and shoulders?

I'm not even 20 years old and I consider myself to have a lot of hair in all the wrong places. I have some hair on my chest, but the rest would rather grow on my belly, shoulder, and back. Having hair on my shoulders speaks for itself, but on my back it's not just in the middle or my lower back, it's all over my back, especially on my shoulder blades. I could care less about whatever grows on my arms and legs (obviously I'd keep that), but I can't afford to pay for permanent treatment/surgery or for continuous, monthly treatments like cream or services to have it waxed.

So instead, right before I go to the beach or anywhere else I'd probably be shirtless, I have to ask my mom to shave it (the hair on my back and shoulders) for me... It's so embarrassing to ask her to do this but I'd be even more embarrassed to "show off" the hair that I dislike and (apparently) what women find to be a huge turn-off.

I don't even know what I'd do when I move out on my own. I guess when I can afford doing that, I should be able to afford having it waxed...

Hair is fine. I agree with Hickboy. Hairy chest is the best. Don't shave anyplace. Just enjoy this fine trait of true masculinity, hairiness. :biggrin1:

I used to be insecure about my hairiness, but it got to the point a few months ago that I didn't care anymore. This was particularly about my chest hair. I never shaved it, but about a year ago, it started growing up towards my neck. Growing up, my sisters and mom always made comments about men with their chest hair exposed being gross etc. so I would always shave just that part off. Now, I could give a fuck what they think!

As for my back hair... again, it was about a year or two ago when it started growing. It's pretty annoying because it does not grow equally! There are two parts of my back that are completely smooth while the rest is hairy. It's unsightly, imo, so I shave it when I can. Right now, I have been letting it get longer and then I plan to get it waxed off.
