Exactly, Freddie.
That the GOP, conservatives, magas, and those at Fox "and friends" are trying to shift the blame for the massive spread of Covid in mostly "red states," caused by THEIR OWN obstinate dismissals of a pandemic now deadlier than ever, onto immigrants,
only further demonstrates the connivingly malicious and disingenuous nature of the mentalities with which America is up against, and I personally believe that the callous disregard many of them have shown in the face of such suffering and DEATH requires a kind of sociopathic DISCONNECT from the suffering and hardships they've inflicted even upon their own constituency.
A Tennessee governor refusing mandates amid reports mass positive tests among students, one of whom died within 24 hours of a positive diagnosis, Texas and Florida governors stubbornly opposing mandates and trying to punish those who try to enforce them amid reports of multiple casualties of educators and essential workers.
And then there's the GOP congresswoman, M.T. Greene, who callously blew off the carnage with "we can't live forever."
The same M.T. Greene who, btw, less than 24 hours before the treasonous Capitol insurrection tipped, "Get ready to fight for America tomorrow," and who suggested vaccine canvassers be met with guns pointed,
and who only yesterday suggested the Biden administration might be paying the Taliban and how Americans deserve assault weapons like the Taliban.
And oh, btw, have you heard? Just like many of the magas cheered American Olympic losses, white nationalists and neo-Nazis are (reportedly) just ECSTATIC over the Taliban's seizure of Afghanistan. Seems that kind of thing is right UP THEIR ALLEY.
Which might ALSO explain why Trump's "Proud Boys" (his personal army who he told to "stand back and stand by") have moved on from the "small stuff" like CAPITOL RIOTING and trying to OVERTHROW DEMOCRACY, and instead have been (reportedly) running around from pillar to post and state to state, infiltrating church groups, town halls, parent teacher conferences, statue protests, and anti-vaxxer movements,
starting up s and violence (like in L.A., where L.A.P.D reportedly looked on then after confrontations ensued tried to blame it all on some fictional "antifa" presence instead of their Proud Boy buddies).
So YEAH. In THEIR minds, "The Taliban is epic":
'The Taliban is epic': White nationalists feel inspired by religious fanatics who overran Afghanistan
.
I am a bit distraught to write what I am fearing more and more as time goes on. The white supremacists are not working to make our nation more free. The white supremacists want to overthrow the US government and establish a white supremacist government.
Why? The latest figures from census shows that only 57 % of Americans are white. And that is expected to drop to under 50 % by 2045,
I was not aware that to be a proud loyal American required a person to be white.
I am a proud American who believes that the best days can be ahead, not back into history.
What matters is a belief in the Bill of Rights and other amendments that guarantee our rights to speech, press, religion and a host of other rights. Basically our rights extend out to the point where we might take away the rights of others.
It is so tragic that many white supremacists are choosing Hitler instead of Roosevelt and Winston Churchill as mentors.
The Christianity that I believe in is diametrically opposed to the white supremacist's dogma. The Jesus I worshiped loved all children: red, yellow, black and white as the old children's song says.
Jesus loves their parents and grandparents also.
There is becoming such a chasm of difference in what white supremacist's believe about God and what the non-racists believe about God that there is no room for us to worship together. Sad! Tragic!
Sadly, the the political chasm is also getting too wide for racists and non-racists to govern together.
Keep in mind that it isn't the non-racists who have changed what they believe and how they act.
It is the racists who have become more rabid in their beliefs and in their behavior.
I fear that the day will come when these racists will lead a successful overthrow of our federal government.
It doesn't have to come to this. The non-racists need to stand together, speak with one voice, and lead America to an even better future where the children of racists become non-racists due to our influence.
This can happen, but it requires non-racists to stand together as one and speak together as one on issues of rights for people.
