It's the South man, it's the way things are south of the Mason Dixon line. I find it funny that my wife and I are pillars of the community and she was afraid we would be ostracized for being an interracial couple with an interracial baby.

I love when life proves us wrong (or in my case right).

My advice? Get out of the South if you really want to live without stares.

We are so ready to move it`s not even funny, we just have to be patient and put some money away so we can, as you can imagine it`ll feel like an eternity to do so. We`re seriously considering moving out to the north west.

These days, I am starting to think that some of the most beautiful people are bi-racial and the celebrity status of some bi-racial people is bearing that out.

I'm not just starting to think that! I've always thought some of the most beautiful people were multi-racial!

DGirl I hate to admit it but when you first told me your husband was Asian I was like no way! How odd?! I have NEVER seen a black woman and asian man paired off as a couple in real life or tv.:redface: I then realized you had been in the military and it made sense.

For those unfamiliar with military bases it's a great big mix of all types of people. You learn really fast to ditch racial/cultural/color/sexuality/religion based prejudices as the one you hate may be your commanding officer. Or worse a doctor or nurse. You do not want your shot records to be accidentally lost.

OOPS Sorry..."
But, dont feel bad about folks staring at you.."
I get that here in Hawaii!! The land of ALL colors..." Hubby is Asian, I am Black ..."
I get White MEN/Women Looking at us, Black Men..." Black women Sometimes." Asain Women AND Asian men..." I just keep walking.." They never seen a WOMAN and MAN together?

Because of who we are our love is stronger. We are very protective of eachother. Some friends and family were lost along the way. So be it. Tough choices that had to be made. You have to stick together and love eachother even more. Our love was too strong not to be together. She is not only my wife she is my best friend.

I got used to that NJQT.." It happened YET AGAIN on New Years night when hubby picked me up from work. I was with him and a few co-workers going to our car. We were going to take a guy home and before we got into the car this NEW White young lady that is a bagger. Was like WOH.." This is YOUR husband? Everyone like gave her THE look!!
lol!!
I just have to tell all the folks that are in a mixed relationship.." You have to be comfy in your OWN skin first.." Then you can be cool with another person. It really is NOT too hard.." But, don't let OTHERS break you all up..." All it is in the end is two folks that LOVE each other " Right" ?

That is so true!

Dontcha just love it when ignorant people stop and stare, as if you and your man were a parade they should watch going by.

I remember those stares and comments from back when I was dating 2 lovely black women. (not at the same time) They mostly came from black men.

Sometimes you just have to brace for a whole lot of ugly coming from a never ending parade of stupid.

Interracial relationships are tough; when I was younger, I ended one because I could not take the constant feeling of being on display. Now, 10 years later, I do notice there seems to be less taboo about them. I’m basing this observation on going out on more than a few interracial dates the past year and receiving very little attention, but they were in NYC and L.A., sooo?

It's ashamed how old and ugly habits die hard. A couple of months ago I started getting really deep with a guy. I'm black and he's white. We started out as good friends but things began to get more serious as time passed. I had always dated black guys until him. Texas is a big state but there are still quite a few people with small minds. Not all of my friends and co-workers were happy about us being together and I believe that his friends weren't either. I even had one friend tell me that it would never really work because he'd never see me as good as women from his own race. Didn't matter to me, I cared for him then and still do now.

Unfortunately, he seemed to take the bad behavior harder than I did and this was a contributing factor to us breaking up. I guess if you're use to experiencing racism then the strange looks and rude behavior is a part of life. It's almost a damned if you do and damned if you don't kind of situation. No one can pick who you fall in love with. I say screw them and live your life with as much happiness and joy as you can.

I dated a white guy in a 95% white county in NJ. The dirty looks we got were from white women our age (mid 20's & up); and younger white guys like teenagers.

A couple months ago I was in John Elway's steak house. Its basically a meet market where the really really pretty people mix and match. Elway is there a lot, so is Rick Reilly the sportswriter, lots of pro athletes, but generally 99% white. I am fearless about going up to the most attractive women in the place and trying to engage them, no qualms at all.

This one night there were these 2 incredibly beautiful black women at the bar. This one was making some serious across the room eye contact and a smiles with me. I have learned that if you get a smile from a woman you have just a few seconds to approach her or you are dead in the water.

If she had been a white woman I would have hit on her instantly. Because she was black however I just froze, no game at all. I just felt I was going to be rejected or it would have been awkward. It was a flaw in me, looking back I know she was really interested in me. I just choked on my own preconceived ideas of who would find me attractive or that i would not have anything to say that would have interested her.

I promise it won't be gentle. Hot and wet, basically steaming. However it does beg the question: Have you had white guys chicken shit out like i did when you give then clear signs that you are interested? I say yes.

Yes, damn it! And I give really clear signs of interest. Such as rubbing my braless perky breast against his arm when I squeeze past him in a crowded bar to go to the bathroom.

NJ, thats a pretty clear sign. Ok then more questions: In what ways do you non verbally express your sexual interest in a man? You see him, you judge in that instant that he is fuckable, How long does he have to approach you and seal the deal?

I don't know I never timed it. Preferably before I'm drunk if I am drinking, so I don't make an ass of myself.
