I have to say that it looks incredibly painful, if not a little odd! I had never heard of this practice before, but then I am not a historian - can't see it catching on today.

I would probably think that there is some sort of cultural exception. Like Greeks had a longer forskin or that maybe they were used to doing this from an early age. I mean really, just suddenly putting one on doesnt seem like the most comfortable of situation yet, If I had more foreskin to play with and I had done this gradually as I played sports in school, it may not be all that bad and actually turn out to be practical. IDK
