Okay, so I've Sickle Cell Disease, in the form of Heterozygous Antilles S. Well, I was wondering since SCD has been clinically to cause body dysmorphia and stunt growth do you think that, if I was "healthy" my penis would be longer?

Actually, since a kid long before I knew this "fact" about Antilles I had always thought that I looked, and definitely felt, different about my features. My penis being one of them; it always felt "short" for what it was supposed to be, along with my hands as they are small, and the rest of me as I am frail looking and have not an ounce of fat.

Seriously though, lets assume that the late puberty effect doesn't stop at 19... If not could I "cheat" and encourage growth. Nothing is wrong with my range 7.5 - 9" x 5.5 -6.25" but I'd still like, for no other reason than having one, a larger more consistent penis.

The range is based on hydration values by the way, and I was circumcised if that matters.

Also, one more thing, if anyone knows how to combat "priapism" be sure to answer or PM. That'd be a hellalotta nice.

    Hi blackkid,

Sorry about the SCD. Unfortunately, I know nothing about that. However unless you are 7' tall, 9x6.25 erect inches means that you are officially well hung.
At your age I'd recommend sex or just jerking off.

I am such an idiot. I just re-read this post and realized it has to be a joke post.:tongue:

No, it's not a joke.

    I really DO have SCD.

    However, I'll agree on your idiocy. ^_^;

Priapism, when ENCOURAGED doesn't go away, so if you don't know then don't suggest. :D

Now then, the rest of your post...

Hydration values does actually suggest that the more hydrated you are the more your veins are open. The more your veins are open the more blood your penis can hold, so it's not one of those "HOMG LIES" problems.

Also, they are both erect measurements, and I'm not even 6' tall. It's not a question of "being hung" either. It's dysmorphia and attempting to fix it through some means permenantly.

Yea, calm down. No one would have given you special treatment.

And as for uninformed? How about you not knowing that 6" flat is average length, and that people with a 9" penis are very rare and considered to be very well endowed?

I don't think you actually understand the situation. This is a medical concern, not a "MY PENIS IS AWESOME" concern. So its not a matter of special treatment. Besides, the condition is what's the primary factor; I'm not here for pity. Especially not from the likes of you.

Now then, you really are uninformed, and that's fine, because we're not dealing with the National Average, if we were ( and by the way much more comprehensive reports including ALL races have been printed, as well as race exclusives; if you're still using the 3500 of Kinsley you might want to update a bit ) I'd actually be ranting on, get this, size and not health.

It's not like I expected anything other than a lot of misunderstanding "HOMG PENIZ" talk anyway rather than discussing the possibilities of a medical condition and how to treat it.

The problem though is the dysmorphia. So long as it persists it doesn't matter if you're hung like a horse, you'll still see yourself as small; much like how anorexics can look like concentration camp victims and still think they're fat.

You're going to need a shrink; for that and your narcissistic personality disorder.

You want to get bigger, take a look at Thunder's Place though with that attitude you won't last long there.

Priapisms need medical attention no matter what. A doctor may supply you with a urethral suppository that contains vasodilators and prostaglandins for emergency usage. Consult your urologist.

Priapisms usually do need medical attention if the last longer than a few hours; some do go away by themselves however and racking up the bills for said "pins in the penis" isn't the best idea. However, I will agree with you possibly on the urethral suppository; it's not something I had considered with my doctor.

As for Narcissism... We'll not nominate you a worthy psychologist regardless of your experience in the field ( I doubt you've any ) but that's for another time and place. Now then dysmorphia. You might be correct about that, but the dysmorphia is a symptom of actually changing size, or attaining "true size" only when certain conditions are met ( hydration ). It's not "having a large penis" but not being able to attain my "full erection" that bothers me.

Oh my, oh well. As for the other parts, I do agree that the dysmorphia needs treatment; of course this is a penis based site so... It's not really sensible to bring them up.

Whoa! Back up dude. I am sorry if I offended you but your question was asked in such a convoluted fashion that it was a natural mistake. For one thing I have never heard anyone give a flat measurement on here before.

I do understand why the variation would bother you. I also understand dysmorphia. I started to tell you the only way to fix that was to see a shrink but I know that is not often done in our culture. The truth is, that if you have a body dysmorphia issue there is no way to get rid of it without seeing a therapist.

It appears he is angry because I am not an expert in SCD. I guess I should have kept my mouth shut.

Ed: It's not "Hydrating more" it's "Being Hydrated". I, being in a constant state of dehydration usually, can incease bloodflow by being hydrated. All of my veins, arteries, etc. increase in size as with all people.

It's not natural to actually dehydrate at the rate that I do, so my veins are often more closed than normal.

That's the difference; if I was perfectly healthy then being "more hydrated" shouldn't do anything except add, if anything, the smallest millimeter. That, however, is always a variant; hydration levels do affect the penis in more way than one; the ability to engorge, the ability to prevent dizziness, and the ability to continue with a longer lasting erection.

I guess you could say I'm looking for a way to prevent the dehydration effect. I hope, however, that you yourself don't suffer from chronic dehydration.

Well then, I apologize for my unprofessional responses.

While I do not doubt that seeing a therapist would help the dysmorphia is somewhat attributed to more of a "What should be" rather than "What is" line of thought. To tell the truth I have been to psychologists however when considering this, and we have talked about it as a serious issue.

Regardless of culture however I've not the funding to see said doctor; the cost of fluids alone is staggering.

Actually I got upset at the fact that you considered it a joke, through and through; it's not that I expect you to be an expert but rather than off the bat saying "Man thats hilarious" you could attempt to pretend that it isn't a lie.

I still apologize for my own anger though; it's inexcusable to be wounded by those that are ignorant of the situation to begin with. You're not stupid; you just didn't know. I can't hold it against you because there is no reason for you to even be concerned, assuming your race as of now of course.

Your doubt is unfounded and the conclusion you draw is incorrect.

Then it's not dysmorphia, assuming you mean body dysmorphid disorder (BDD). Somatoform disorders are classed as delusions. Your particular issue is not a delusion but a true medical disorder where your penis does vary in size depending upon other factors.

I'm glad you've spoken to a therapist about this issue because until medicine can find a cure for the symptom or SCA itself, you may just have to live with it. Accepting that may be difficult for you. Do take comfort, however, that you are larger than average even in your smallest state. I don't believe anyone would have reason to complain about your size.

Considering the fact that one of the first rules of psychology isn't to jump to a conclusion, and especially when you don't know the person as a patient, I'd really think my doubt is quite well founded. Your "Internet Diagnosis" based on less than ten posts really us just plain dumb.

We'll not argue on that anymore however; it's not important and we've a topic to stick to.

I can't argue there; it does make much better sense. The dysmorphia applies to other parts of the body, as stated.

Oh, the only reason it says "I'm small" in my signature is because I am on LSPG. Here, within these forums, that's true. Otherwise I am aware that I belong to the top 1x% I believe. Regardless you might be correct; I was hoping someone had an idea for preventing the issue, but perhaps false hope is nothing more than false hope.

This poster is a pompous idiot who (if he really wants an informed medical opinion) should consult with his physician on his query rather than look for excuses to harass other LPSG members.

As for you, Mr Jason Els, way to whip the DSM on his sorry ass!! I am sure youre a kick ass shrink.

Unfortunately I did consult my physician; that was stated. Yes, let us flame those who do not openly "agree" and swallow whatever is handed to them; no wonder they warn others of herdd conformity.

Considering that Narcissism might be the opposite of what I have irl I'd not say he's the "best of the best". If he really is a "shrink" I recommend he learns how to make a proper diagnosis.

    How uncivil. How worthless.

    Yup. Narcissistic Personality Disorder:

    1. An exaggerated sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)

    2. Preoccupation with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love

    3. Believes he is "special" and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)

    4. Requires excessive admiration

    5. Has a sense of entitlement

    6. Selfishly takes advantage of others to achieve his own ends

    7. Lacks empathy

    8. Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him

    9. Shows arrogant, haughty, patronizing, or contemptuous behaviors or attitudes
