I do intermittent fasting from about 8pm at night until 9am the next morning (so about 11 hours, but at least 12 hours on weekends). I do that in conjunction with a very low calorie, almost Mediterranean style diet. It works for me.

I've done intermittent fasting a couple of times to lose weight and put on muscle, it worked great for me, lost 28 lbs in 2 months. i try to stay in an 7 hour eating window when i'm doing it seriously, but the heavy lifting part is an absolute necessity for me to be effective. Martin Berkhan is the guru for IF. Google him or leangains. PM me if you want to talk more.

I find it pretty easy, eat at normal time in the evening, then in the morning just skip breakfast and wait until 12.30 ish. I've lost a bit of weight doing it and feel like I'm not missing out on anything, I'm normally hungry after breakfast anyway so doesn't make much difference!

Yep. I eat all the good stuff. Every day for lunch I have raw vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, cherry tomatoes, cucumber) with hommus. That’s only about 100 calories for a really filling and healthy meal. Im pescatarian so fm eat plenty of legumes and fish. I just largely cut out simple carbs.

Nice to see more people getting on the Keto / Paleo / Mediterranean train.

I started Keto + IF almost 2 years ago - never felt better, never getting back at carbs and sugar.

I have hormonal imbalance issues which includes insulin resistance. My current eating lifestyle is the only one that works for me in order to lose weight and keep my weight down. And by keeping my weight down I’m also lowering my risk of type 2 diabetes.

Check this guy out if you haven't already, he's one of the few people that I believe know their stuff.

He's got a million videos on everything imaginable - Keto, IF, health conditions, overall health. I bet you'll find something useful that might help :)

not familiar with pescatarian but I'll look into it, are you saying tho that you live on 100 calories a day? that doesn't seem right

It’s just vegetarian but eating fish. I eat no other meat. Haha no I eat 800 calories a day. I was just giving you an example of how I manage to eat healthy, get my nutrients while having low calorie meals.

800 still makes me nervous but as long as you dont die and feel healthy I suppose that's what matters

Have a look at Dr Michael Mosely’s Fast 800 book. You’re supposed to only do 800 for 12 weeks and then go up to 1200. But the 800 is fine for me. If you eat the right food it’s easy to do. The Fast 800 » By Dr Michael Mosley
