iPad 2

Yesterday the iPad 2 was announced by Stevey Jobs, but with the iPad 3 mean't to be aiming for a Christmas 2011 launch with a larger more revolutionary jump, is the iPad 2 something to get excited about?

In essence it is faster, thinner, more beautiful... but it isn't a huge amount different to the first. Same price too, so, is this suddenly worth buying, or are you going to wait for a future version. Or like me, are you just not interested?

Personally, I would be interested if I had a huge need for it. If it was basically as functional as their laptops, say, to replace their Macbook Air, I would jump on it.

I wouldn't be mate, apart from the 2 cameras there is no real change.

You have had the iPad for 3 months, and your other option was to wait 3 months and only get a slightly improved device.

My advice to you: Wait a year, sell your iPad around December this year for somebody to pick up as an XMAS present and prepare to buy the iPad 3 a month or 3 after which should be a massive improvement.
