I don't believe Iraq asked the US to invade. They are not doing Iraqi's any favours and as far as I can see American occupation has made the country more unstable.

If America occupied here I'd want them out of here too. America needs to learn that war is not the answer to everything and they can't invade any country they please.

Well put. They apparently recognize unbridled corporate greed better than we do. Like they owe us something because we came in and wrecked their country. Oh wait I'm sorry, we freed them that's right. Now everything over there is hunky-dory since Bush announced "Mission accomplished!" years ago. So hey, our troops shouldn't be needed there either way right?

Then why are the still shooting the street lights out!?!? We should have been gone a while ago. Not the best move, even it if did provide some resemblance of stability but at what cost? We all know the answer to that one.

As soon as we leave, it will be as if we were never there.

All the money that the US would save if they pulled out today could be put to much better use such as solving American problems like the economy or investing in clean energies.

When the infighting between warring religious factions starts and Iran gets their absurd fruitcake lunatic-fringe selves involved we will be paying another visit and this time maybe the rest of the world can help instead of sitting on their asses letting the US and Great Briton do all the dirty work.

The rest of the world won't help--because they are smart enough to know it was a stupid ass idea to ever start all this shit for no reason. Just a grand stand play by the little weak-minded bastard called bush.

Um... unfortunately- like MOST Americans you seem to think that the only deaths that count are US soldiers.

    4000 is NOTHING.

500,000 Iraqis have died. MOST of whom had NOTHING to do with insurrection, and NONE of whom had anything to do with 9/11.

Women, Children... killed due to this invasion the Iraqi's did not ask for.

Try to imagine how many have been maimed. had limbs lost, faces disfigured, blinded, burned....

All of this done in the name of America. Paid for by YOUR tax dollars....

Oh, wait- I'm sorry.... all that money was BORROWED money... so we will all have to be paying for these murders for decades to come...

As far as I am concerned, we can get out of there this afternoon.

You make a lot of sense--But where were all of you people back when Bush was brewing up his little scheme? I was the only one around here telling everyone what a disastor this would be. Everyone was saying I am unAmerican for not getting behind Bush---and now unfortunately I was correct. I wish I would have been wrong--:frown1:

Yeah … its ok for Saddam to shoot missiles at our jets among the many other ways he thought it was a good idea to fuck us after we allowed him to stay in power after his surrender.

BTW: Bill Clinton also bombed the shit out of Iraq for the same reasons, was this just an alleged grandstand play by the little weak-minded bastard called Clinton also lol?

Oh really ? I wasn't aware of the fact that it's educators you've been sending to Iraq.
What would you call it if USA was taken over by a foreign power and were "training" you in the new way of doing things ?

The US probably asked the Iraqi government to tell them to get out so that the pullout would have weight as the will of the Iraqi people rather than being perceived as a retreat.

So what you are saying is you will not pay for your share just because the Iraqi government has invited guests?

If you are referring to guests showing up in the middle of the night, bombing and killing, and who don't know when they have outstayed their "welcome"

The money and lives spent today will be well worth it in the future. Spreading democracy is worth it in the long run.

We were in a perpetual state of war after the first gulf war, bombings and no-fly zones, etc. The people that were against the invasion never seem to suggest what we should have done about that. Just left and not enforced the treaties from the first gulf war?

And not everyone in Iraq wants us to leave, in fact probably only a small percent want that. People in Iraq would not feel safe if they spoke out and said they wanted us to stay. They won't get threatened if they say in public they are against us staying. The people that want us to leave are the same ones that don't want freedom and want to intimidate the other citizens there.

If 4000 deaths is a lost war, then we totally lost World War II.

Well if you get your facts straight, the US is in fact occupied: by a cabal of lunatic right-wingers making a "killing"(financial) out of the war. What amazes me is the weapons of mass deception. Mainstream media NEVER even refers to it anymore, and that was the rationale behind the war. Fact of the matter is the US requires a bogeyman, Sadam was the fall guy. He had no links to AQ. Who next? Watch out you guys in Denmark,
Aquivit may well be declared Weapons of Mass Bullshit and you too will get fucked over by educators teaching you how democracy works(Power comes out of the barrel of a gun: Was that Mao or Bush?)
