Why it's just like good old fashioned American justice where 3 years gets turned into less than a year. See?! Fruit-for-brains did indeed bring the Iraqi people into a more Democratic way of living.

There's fresh news from Iraq as the day begins. Convicted "shoe-thrower" Muntadhar al-Zeidi, famous around the world for throwing his footwear at then-president George W. Bush last December in Baghdad, was released from prison.
At the TV station where he's a reporter, al-Zeidi told other journalists today that he was tortured by Iraqi security forces while in prison. The abuse included beatings, whippings and electric shocks, al-Zeidi said. NPR's Nora Raum introduces this report from Quil Lawrence, who is in Baghdad:

Now it may well be true that he was tortured and abused; but, friends (and non-friends and nonplussed personage and those with no thoughts about this) I ask you, who put these American style prison officials in charge? Uncle Georgie! Who helped train them? Bernard Kerik (among others), a former NYC police commisioner who came close to a Bush insider job until his dirty laundry began falling all over the place (he's still in legal hell trying to get out of his messes).
Yup, Georgie brought Iraq into line...and did it the American way.
(Now if only we could remember where those WMDs were left)
