Some of these people just don't have a clue about what hormones actually do in the body. Estrogens have an enormous impact on the skeletal and nervous and circulatory systems.
At school? You mean like on the teacher's desk, or the table in the cafeteria? We're talking elementary-school students, not high school students. And yes, I do actually have a problem with parents sending an 11-year-old out on their own to spend a couple of hours at the park unsupervised. And we aren't talking about "fooling around," we are talking about children being sexually active. Sexually active. That has a specific meaning.

My point is, if a child at age 11 is finding times and places to be sexually active, perhaps it would be better to limit their access to 20-year-old predators, than to put them on birth control pills. If they are fucking in the bushes on their way to school, perhaps they shouldn't be walking to school by themselves. Yeah, it may be tough for parents, but hey, a child is a parent's responsibility, not a cute little accessory. Parents CAN have some control over their 11-year-old children. And they should.

If you aren't aware that your child is having sex on the way to school, then how are you to say that they shouldn't be walking to school by themselves? If you don't know that every time they go to their best friends house that they invite a boy over, how can you say that your child shouldn't be hanging out with that friend? I lost my virginity at age 11. My mom never found out.

If you don't mind, I do have a few questions about that... How old was the guy to whom you lost your virginity? How long did it take (from the time you said "let's do it" until you finished and dressed)? Where did it happen? At what age was your menarche? Did you continue to be sexually active from that point on?

How so? In the context of it being rampant enough for an elementary school to be handing out hormones to 11-year-olds, how so? Yeah, an isolated case here and there. And I acknowledged that you cannot watch them 24 hours a day, 365.25 days a year.

But please explain to me how 11-year-olds are finding the time and places to be sexually active.

I remember when I was younger WE always played DOC......." Do you NOT know KIDS games? Just because kids are NOT teens YET don't mean they are NOT doing DIRTY things!!!!!!!!

I seen more DONG as a KID than I seen HERE!!! The boys were my age at the time NOT grown men either...." We did not do anything but LOOK. But, kids go a lot farther NOW days...."

Media has changed but parenting needs to!

I blame media. Not TV as much as the internet. I remember getting erections in class when I was in grade 7, but I didn't really understand sex, yes we had a talk in school about it, but 'sex' didn't become something real to me until I started watching porn online.

Back in the day kids would get "horny" and not even know what it was, now there's a greater chance they know a little about sex and are curious. Parents always let their kids play with their toys alone, a parent can't overlook everything for every child all day long. Nowadays the "toy" is the computer and the internet. I came across porn completely by accident the summer after grade 7, and I've been a porn addict ever since (I mean that in a very serious way).

By the time my dad finally asked if I had any questions about sex I was 16 and had already "learned" it all online, in my opinion not the best place to discover it on your own without guidance.

Parents, please educate your kids before they find out in a way you cannot control.

The condom if correctly used and is the right size for the guy is still overall the best method as condoms also help prevent the spread of various sexual diseases. Birth control pills will not do that.
I had several boys share with me that they had their first sex at 11 yo. they probably weren't cumming yet, but they all said the rubbers were way to big for them. is or is this not a sad commentary?
