for those wondering "Who the hell is she" - she's the vocals on a lot of the soundtracks these days, such as Gladiator, Whalerider and Black Hawk Down.

It's her Gladiator vocals that I'm in love with and really am interested in getting one of her CDs, but don't know which one to start with. Apparently they don't all sound the same.

Well, I listened to the Labyrinth and while I like it, it's still now what I'm looking for. I think I'm more into her haunting music. and I think I may be leaning toward her solo stuf.

Thanks for the replies though...I heard from more than I thought I would.

Do you listen to Enya or Loreena McKennitt?

Actually, I love both of those. Although I'll admit that I have way more Enya than Loreena. My favorite Loreena is Mummer's Dance. Come to think of it, I HAD the Book of Secrets CD but haven't seen it in forever. I actually forgot all about her......

The Mask And The Mirror is lovely. Has "The Mystic's Dream" (most recently used in that bizarre TBS version of The Mists Of Avalon)
Plus Loreena has really cool, wild, curly hair. I want hair like that. Yeah.

Right on. I have that album and like it. I probably enjoy Enya a bit more but both are intoxicating to me.

Check out "Threads of Time" by the Taliesin Orchestra. It's all Enya music. The opening song is a gorgeous version of "Aniron".
