is anyone angry that the federal reserve, (a private company) masquerades as an association of our government, when in fact it is a COMPLETELY separate entity, the people who run it are not bound by any laws or codes of conduct, and for some reason these insanely rich, private, bankers are completely controlling our currency, our mortgages, and our entire financial system, and that now they are asking for 900 billion dollars, with a possibly addon of 4 TRILLION!!, and they refuse to say where it will go, they refuse to allow anyone to audit it. This is unconstitutional that a private bank is using our tax money to buy other banks. For some reason, the federal reserve has never been audited. EVER!!!, no one has ever done a complete audit of the federal reserve, since its creation nearly 100 years ago. I am angry that NO ONE in congress had a chance to even read the entire bailout bill before it was passed, only two hours after it was introduced. i am angry that the bill was even passed in the first place when over 90 % of the american people were against it. i am angry that henry kissenger and bernanke can basically say that they are above the law!. And finally, i am angry that no one else is angry about this. When i first researched this, i was surprised that no one else was protesting, i looked like a crazy man, walking alone through the streets of san francisco with my poster trying to enlighten everyone to the true seriousness of this problem. If someone walked up to you and grabbed 100$ from your pocket, you would be mad. but when the "federal" reserve and their washington puppets take literally thousands of dollars per person and spend it on a "bailout" of bankrupting companies and then refuse to tell anyone where that money is going, no one is upset!, where is the outrage america? why is it ok for the government to steal!?!?

Ron Paul and the Libertarians are. They're very aware of the Creature From Jekyll Island and want to get rid of it. Sounds like you're a Libertarian if you're not one already.

    I'm with you.

Can there be such a thing as a left leaning Libertarian? Apparently I am one, if one believes the guidelines as drafted by Libertarians. I thought Libertarians went beyond the left on personal freedoms and were more laissez faire than John Birchers on economic issues. Libertarianism sounds great, I just don't think that no regulation is the answer.

Not a fan of the Federal Reserve.

Also, like all political parties, Libertarians have a whole slew of problems of their own.

Same goes for Ron Paul. I agree with him on a lot of his Libertarian ideas, but some of what he says makes me shake my head in dismay as well.

Drifterwood: Thanks for the link to The Ascent of Money. Very entertaining.

Doug61853: According to the short political quiz it seems I'm so far left of left than I'm only good for playing third base. LOL!

Greed is what is almost certainly what is going to lead mankind straight into extinction. Greed does not work. And greed is not good. Mankind is literally a malignant cancer to the planet. They say it doesn't do a species any good to destroy it's host. But that requires too much thought.

Unsurprisingly, I fall squarely in the Libertarian camp.

Ya fuck the Federal Reserve. Give the rights to control the money supply and interest rates to the states. Interesting how whenever the fed raises rates, we go into a recession...

...in all fairness though, the fed has done a tremendous job at preventing the recession it created from going into a depression

I'm making a blind guess here: There was no question about whether or not the government should sell all national parks to the highest bidder.
